Got stuck going here again. This restaurant really sucks: food is crap, owners are sloppy, staff is lazy, drinks are blah... such a bad experience again. WHY do these people with no hospitality/culinary expertise open these places. SO bad. Hate it here.

There are very good Indian restaurants in Toronto and Bindia rank with any I've experienced. It may a bit more upscale than others (not a bad thing) and they put their own twist on traditional dishes. We shared a couple pretty traditional dishes, butter chicken and Paneer Tikka Masala, and both were very very good. And I loved the Vegetable... More

Bindia is in a good location for us as we have family that live near by. We like this restaurant for the location. The food is average. The one dish I do enjoy is the Dal Makhni. The rice is a side which is expensive ($4.00) and a small portion. Many of the other Indian restaurants that I frequent in... More

Despite having reservations for 8.30 pm we had to wait an hour to get our table. Food was average, but the service made up for it. The owner and his wife apologized profusely for the delay and came around often to look after us. Small cozy restaurant with the typical downtown crowd of office goers. The next step would be... Bindia was recommended by our hotel concierge, as a new, up and coming restaurant nearby. We ordered the tandoori salmon, the lamb korma, and garlic naan to take back the hotel. The owner went above and beyond in accommodating our requests, and personally greeted us. The food was good (though not exceptional), with the korma being the better of the... More

On our 5th day in Toronto we both fancied an Indian so we booked the restaurant on the way past and returned later that evening. My wife had a seafood style dish and I had chicken tikka masala. I would say the food was ok but not what we were used to and we've had Indian meals in many countries.... More

On a recent trip to Toronto we search for a nice Indian meal, on advice from the hotel we found a gem on Market Street. Upon entering Bindia we were greeted by attentive waitstaff who seated us quickly and took care of our every need. The food was amazing with good portion sizes. This is a family run business with... We had lunch with our son and his wife. The bill away around $60/couple - no liquor. We ordered food to share. It was well presented, very favourful but not over spiced. The restaurant was busy but we were not rush. It was a very pleasant experience we will go again on another trip to Toronto.

Still gave it four stars because the owner (who was outgoing, friendly and very civil) seemed to engage all his customers. As other reviewers have said this restaurant may be geared to customers not overly familiar with Indian cuisine. Wouldn't call the food bland, but it had none of the biting flavour you come to expect from curries, et al.

While visiting Toronto we accidentally run into this nice little bistro. The place is modern with a small patio. Service was more than excellent! Food was delicious. We had the meat samosa (very crispy), butter chicken(spicy), chili chicken (hot!!!!), mint tikka (tasty with distinct flavor). Chef is a genuine guy that uses the herbs he grows in his backyard and... More
