Nice Menu, Interesting Location

We were walking around the waterfront and stumbled across the Purina Pet Centre - within which we stumbled upon this café. Was perfect for me as I was looking for a real organic yogurt smoothie rather than the syrupy ones served by Tim's. My friend had a nice sandwich with lots of fresh toppings... read more

We stumbled upon this restaurant when the original one we were heading to didn't open until 11:30. It was not busy and their simple, but delicious menu pulled us in. I enjoyed the salmon hot rice box. It was really amazing, tasty and filling. I would absolutely go back here in a heartbeat and eat here again. Very friendly staff... More

Whilst the staff are friendly, this can't make up for the fact that the food was "okay" but the standard of cleanliness poor: tables not wiped down, bird poo everywhere (there are sparrows inside the building).

Called in for breakfast. The menu was good but didn't have a lot of non-meat options. After discussing with the sales assistant they offered to make some changes to the options to accommodate us. The coffee was good too. The location was nice though small inside. We sat by an open window which was really lovely.

this was our first breakfast in Toronto, located right on the waterfront, in the same building as pet place. It had a large enough breakfast menu for us all to choose something including my daughter who doesn't like eggs (which seem to feature on every breakfast menu in so many places!). It also does very good smoothies and coffee. The... More

This is a very good breakfast place pretty much on the water and much cheaper than hotels. Service friendly and good. Not fancy, but who cares for breakfast?

I'm there regularly on weekends. The coffee is very good. Breakfast bagel is delicious. Sometimes the service is a bit slow if they're busy. But worth the wait.

Stumbled upon this place while walking around looking for a coffee. Right near the water and it is inside a petstore....which is weird but we tried it anyway. The food was good and the coffee was good. Ate our food pretty quickly and went for a nice walk by the water. The place is small but you're only eating breakfast... More

Staying in Downtown West

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
