Six of us enjoyed a great birthday dinner here. The restaurant itself is fairly basic but definitely trendy, The service was really excellent. The food was also very good, starting with the Caesar salads and the calamari. One of us had the pork chop which was juicy and tender. The remainder had the Chilean sea bass which was as good... Quiet Tuesday night. Service just ok, but great dinner. Mozzarella di bufala for app, shared a maialonia pizza (enought for 2) and orrechio di elefante.....basically a warm nutella pizza covered in carmelized bananas, hazelnuts, and caramel sauce. Oh my...

The location of this restaurant is great, and so is the interior. Spacious and classy. My friend and I had lunch here the other day, each ordering a pizza. Reasonably priced (around $12) we were so shocked when they arrived - massive and perfectly cooked, served on a wood plank. The service was top notch and we left full and... More

My wife and I tried the new space and were very happy with the whole experience. Our server was friendly and the food fantastic. I had seafood with pasta best I have had. My wife had beet salad and I caprese. Both were outstanding. I think this is a wonderful spot. Try it

Was keen to try this new Italian which has opened in hallowed Toronto restaurant space. Our first visit was mixed, mainly due to overly-ambitious [read 'complex'] dishes that ended up being less enjoyable than they would have been if they had been simpler. Example: their take on a Caprese salad suffered from excessive dressing that was also overly seasoned. The... More

We tried Vita Social after hearing such great things. First off, the ceilings are high so the noise level was very loud. They charge $16 for a martini that filled half the martini glass. Server said their pour is 2 1/2 ounces...change the size of the glass or pour more. The server did come and replenish the glass at no... More

How sad is it when the best part of a meal is writing an honest, but negative, review on trip advisor? Quite sad, indeed. But that is the case with Vita Sociale. I had dinner there with friends this evening. The soup de jour (tomato puree) was actually delicious. So was the deep fried calamare and the beet salad appetizer.... More

Was excited about trying Vita Sociale however very disappointed with the service and the entire ambiance. Went on a rainy Monday night and it wasn't very busy. There were many servers working however, the overall service was awful. We waited over 1/2 hour before any one came to our table to take our drink orders and once we finished our... More

I've been here several times, mostly for dinner functions. it was certainly going downhill FAST as Centro. Food was mediocre at best. And service to match the mediocrity. Then it opened as VS. And sadly the food was the same. Watery risotto, tough NY strip. More recently however, the quality of food has improved. We were there late Feb. 2014... More
