Great food and great fun!

Sabai Sabai offers delicious Thai food in a tapas format, which allowed my companions and me to try 9-10 different items on each visit. They have plenty of options to fit anyone's preferences, from vegetarian to meat to fish, as well as noodle and rice side dishes, curry, etc. I've been here... read more

It was a bday dinner - by which we wanted individual orders but was told by the waiter that it doesn't work that way & we had a time limit - best that we order multiple items & split the bill - portions are small & ok - I am Asian so I'm very particular when it comes to Asian... More

I went here for my birthday and was not disappointed. At our table of 5, we ordered 10 different dishes to share. Everyone of them was very tasty. My favorite was the green curry. They had many options. I was very impressed that they even had a vegan menu. I will be returning for sure!

Love the food here. Portions are great and good value for the price. I love there Khao Soi. Service is just okay, and that's why I knocked off one star. If you don't mind impersonal service where they only come to get your order and give you your bill, then you'll really love it here.

Very lively atmosphere, nice smallish bar area, great location, and the food is fantastic. Many food options offered and recommendation is to share like tapas. Some of the best Thai inspired food I’ve experienced. Curries were delicious with layers of flavors, the squash fritters were out of sight, one of the best fried things I’ve ever put in my mouth.... The Good :- nice atmosphere and the cost was reasonable. The Bad:- *live in Thailand then try the food here its not the genuine deal -it lacks the flavor. That does not mean its all bad, just not what you expect when you read reviews saying its the real deal. *The temperature of the food was not good enough I... More

* OK so its a busy place... but I do not expect to ask three times for a glass of water.. * the food was OK but nothing special. - not very authentic Thai very westernized and lacking spice \ flavor. Some of the dishes were more of a Vietnamese than Thai. * vegetarian curry I expect more than 3... More

A group from the office went for lunch. Food came quickly and everyone was very happy with their meal. The curries were delicious, the green papaya salad was wonderfully spicey, the Tom Yung soup was spiced just right. Plan to go again - so many yummy sounding dishes to choose from.

What an awesome find, the thai food is fantastic and the vibe in the restaurant is very cool. Always look this place up when I visit Toronto. Great selection of asian beer to complement some really good thai food.

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
