I want to give them 4.5 stars but this website does not provide that capability. Saw them listed as one of the Portuguese places for Summerlicious. I am always looking for good Spanish or Portuguese places as our favourites are gone due to the pandemic....We went on a Friday night, it was not jam packed. The food and service were both wonderful. We ordered a bottle of portuguese white wine based on their recommendation and it was perfect. The meal was wonderful from appetizer to main to dessert. Most dishes needed salting, i can understand why restaurants under salt their dishes as you can always add more but can't take it out, but they should provide the salt on the table. All in all, a very good evening. Will go back for sure. They close all of August for summer vacations so have to wait till Sept I guess.More

Amazing food. Sardines after a long time. Seabream was excellent. Moist and flavorful. Took few bites from my friends pork dish. Ver flavorful. Simple flavors and I loved it. Good vino to accompany. Service slow and delayed.

Via Norte is a terrific restaurant. I take friends from out of the area for lunch and they cannot wait for me to invite them back. It is Portuguese, so obviously a fish restaurant. I took my 2 sisters for dinner before Christmas. They are...definitely not Portuguese and they are still talking about it. The waiter was terrific with them. They loved it. I have a good riend in Manhattan and she can't wait to go back.More

We came for authentic Portuguese cuisine and we were delighted. We sampled the famous green soup, caldo verde, with potato, onion, thinly sliced kale and a drizzle of olive oil, and sardinhas grelhadas, grilled fillet of sardines with charred peppers, grilled pineapple, mushrooms, topped with...onion confit. Our mains were traditional; grilled monkfish, for one and grilled cod, for the other, both served with broccoli, rapini and potatoes. For dessert we revelled in the nata du ceu, a version of tiramisu, topped with more cream than was good for us. Even though it was a quiet evening in this good sized restaurant, the warmth of our welcome by our server and the chef made the evening feel special.More

This place is charming and the food and service are great. Terrific selection of fresh fish as well as other items. Ordered mains of tuna, beef tenderloin and lamb shank. All were beautifully presented and delicious. No room for dessert but the selections sounded tasty.

Food and service were really good. Caldeirada for two exceptional, bitoque (Portuguese beef) was the best meat my 15 year old had ever had. Would definitely recommend.

Went there for a Summerlicious lunch...WOW! $28 for a 3-course meal prepared by a renowned chef. I had the sardines (appetizer), and the grilled calamari (+ dessert, of course)...all prepared to perfection! A celebration of tastes and flavours! Impeccable service! Great ambiance!

A late lunch at 2pm on a Monday, one would expect the service and food to be well taken care of. The ambiance was excellent. Prices were good ($65 pp). Piri piri chicken excellently infused skin, steak was done medium rare, risotto soft, washrooms modern,...white tablecloth, too bad they were out of salt cod. Limited lunch menu and no salt cod! Limited wine list. Lots of items unavailable. Will be back for dinner, maybe.More

Hi. The restaurant is upscale, but we were not dressed up, and didn't feel out of place. You will be fine with nice casual clothes.
