Running like a well-oiled machine, service was quick and attentive. Food was excellent and quite reasonable. Cora's adds a lot of attractive fruit to its dishes, a healthy and tasty treat.

Been twice in the last couple of weeks and the results are the same. The food is mediocre at best and the service is ok. They've changed their home fries so they taste half cooked and not crispy enough. Had the ham & Swiss omelet but it tasted so bland! No seasoning at all. Wasn't just me.. My companion said... More

This restaurant is the biggest rip off that I have ever been too. For $35 including tax and tip, my son and I had blueberry and cherry pancakes, chocolate milk and coffee. We had also ordered a side of peameal and bacon which never came and I’m glad because breakfast was too expensive as is. I cannot understand why these... More

I was there last week for a brunch meeting. got two eggs over easy. everything was fine until I took a bite of the second egg. it was so rotten, I still get a sulphur smell in my nose, days later. it was off colour and very obviously rotten. cook should've seen it as soon as they cracked the egg.... Decided to give Cora's a try thanks to Trip Advisor, and we're glad we did! This French Canadian chain offers some unique twists on a typical diner breakfast menu, much of that centered around the generous portions of fresh fruit that accompany so much of the menu. The choco-choco crepe, stuffed full of fruit, hazelnut, and caramel was particularly delicious!... More

We were in Toronto for 5 days and ate here most mornings. The food is good and fresh,I think only once we were left waiting in line for a table but we never really had anywhere to be so it was fine. BE AWARE that this place does get busy around 8:30 9:00 so you will be kept waiting but... More

My first visit to Cora's- ever. I went at 1:00 pm on a Thursday. It was pretty slow- My server may have had 3 other tables. He was extremely aloof. I waited about 5 minutes to get a drink order in. When I ordered, he wasn't sure what I was asking for, so I showed him on the menu. Took... More

I've been to this Cora's location several times & it's never disappointed until today. I've usually gone on the weekend, when it's understandably busy. Today we went at 1pm (weekday) and there were maybe 25- 30 people dining and 3 servers. A slow day compared to my past visits. We were seated within 5 minutes & our order was promptly... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
