terrific thin crust pizza

This is great pizza with very thin crust, in the style of Pizza Libretto. Our favourites are the Margherita with fresh basil, and the Presto Pesto. Their tomato sauce is also very tasty. Very little seating; mostly a take out place. If you get the Margherita take out, you will get the basil in a... read more

Every pizza is hand made and simply gorgeous. The put a lot of care into everything that goes out the door. It starts with their home made sauces and artisan ingredients. Enjoy!

Buddah pie. Worst worst worst pizza ever. Should be illegal. Tasted just like a restaurant that truly doesn't care any more? My mouth still tastes terrible 35$ pizza in the bin. Clumps of tomatoes. Clumps. Burnt solid. On the bottom. No bubbly Napoli crust. Thin, soggy and incredibly tough crust. Bitter, bitter burnt taste. Crazy salt. Seriously bad. The service... More

I LOVE the Buddha Bomb pizza. The zesty sauce just compliments the smokey bacon and sausage and I always request John to add a bit of this, or substitute a bit of that, and he being the kindest of gents, obliges. And I love him for it. Go, give it a try, in my opinion, it's far better pizza than... More

Buddha Pie is hands down one of the best pizza joints I've been to since moving to Toronto! The Presto Pesto with Goat Cheese (Gluten free) is absolutely fantastic, we get it every single time. It's hard to find a really good gluten free crust, other pizza joints always taste like cardboard but at buddha pie it's amazing, you don't... More

It a about a year ago we went after deciding we didn't feel like cooking and we called ahead to order. We picked up the pizzas: one with gorgonzola and one with meat. The meat pizza was burned and tasted like crispy charred cardboard but my wife liked hers with the cheese. We would give them another chance for sure... More

This place is great. All the pizzas are terrific. We have been half a dozen times and will go back. My favourite is the zen margarita which comes with a brown bag full of fresh basil. And they cater to our kids too. A great neighbourhood place and a must go.

We ordered the "Mediterranean Sundance" as take out. It smelled delicious, the toppings were tasty, the service was great and fast, but the crust... Ugh. The thin crust could not stand up to the oodles of grease in the toppings, and when baked, turned into a fried cracker or similar. We felt like we were eating nachos or fried nan... More

This is like eating at your friend's kitchen table...only so much more delicious! We accidentally found Buddha Pie, as we needed a quick nosh on our way to another one of life's many tasks. Wow...what a find! The owners are warm and welcoming, and quickly make you feel at home, or as if you are visiting an old friend. However,... More

Staying in West End

Neighborhood Profile
West End
The go-to area for new business start-ups, the spry and creative persona of the West End thrives along its streets. Its independent boutiques, galleries, restaurants, and shops offer brands that can't be found elsewhere. Buildings with ground floor consumer spaces sport up-top artist's lofts, and the West End attracts artists, designers, and fashion industry professionals to its living quarters. It is in the cross-hairs of gentrification, but still resisting it with ironic relish. Hot deals can still be found here on furniture and knick-knacks,. Its call to culinary glory is in its well-priced homemade Polish food, hosting Toronto's go-to spots for hot pierogis and cold borscht. High Park, the largest green space in the city, is a place for dreamers and poets to wander and rest, not to mention a number of energetic actors staging outdoor plays in the summertime.
