I'm sad to say this, but I was terribly dissapointed. I went there to have dinner with 5 friends on a Friday night to celebrate a birthday and we waited approximately 30 minutes to get a table. In the meantime, I realized that there were only 2 waitress and that the service was very slow, can you imagine what is... More

I had heard of Chicken and waffles before but had never had them as I had become a vegan before I was aware of the combination. I completely understand the fascination now. The vegan chicken and waffles tasted terrific, and it was filling as well. I tried the poutine as well which was a little salty for my taste, but... More

I've eaten here several times and have had a great experience each time. The first time I went I was resentful because I was being forced to eat at a vegan joint by my buddy's hippy wife. But it's called "vegan soul food" for a reason, and I have to say, eating the un-chicken and waffles, tofu burgers, fries, and... More

When ever I crave greasy food this is the place I come. I have tried most of the items on the menu but I love the 'un-chicken' burger... the cheesy fries are great too. I love bringing my non-vegan friends here to prove that vegan food is delicious. I don't like to make a negative comment on a vegan restaurant,... More

Went here for an early dinner on a Sunday afternoon, the place wasn't busy yet we were still told by the waitress (in a somewhat rude tone) that we had to take a small table instead of one of the open booths in the back. The service was relatively unpleasant at first and it seemed as though we were posing... More

I ate at Hogtown last night with 3 other friends. The staff were kind and considerate and kept an awareness of us at our table. I enjoyed the food, it was tasty, fresh and gave me a new experience of vegan food. I am so glad there is a restaurant like this in Toronto. Go and find out for yourself.

I've been to Hogtown Vegan twice and both times the experience was memorable. The place is usually packed with hungry hipsters. We waited briefly for a table and were sat by a pleasant server who promptly took our order. We ordered the chicken wings (delicious!!!), and mac and cheese (delicious), for our apps. We did need to wait a while... More

Being vegan, you are always looking for somewhere new to eat. This was an obvious choice for me visiting Toronto. The food was pretty good but i couldnt help but feel it was a little pre-made. This is why i felt it was a bit overpriced. The decor was nothing to rave about but our server was quick and very... More

Don't like bad reviews but I can't lie . I was unimpressed with the food , service was slow ,it was dinner on Friday night maybe more than 2 waitress would be benefit , and the place needs some decorating . Started with appetizers the wings were pretty good , also ordered the shitake fried "clams" but they messed up... More

This place has been on my must-try list for a while. Maybe my visit suffered a bit from that anticipation. From the drab decor to the lacklustre service and food that lacked any flair, it was not shaping up to be worth it. I ordered the BLT,which arrived on greasy rye bread jammed with lettuce and not much else. Accompanied... More
