This place has been on my must-try list for a while. Maybe my visit suffered a bit from that anticipation. From the drab decor to the lacklustre service and food that lacked any flair, it was not shaping up to be worth it. I ordered the BLT,which arrived on greasy rye bread jammed with lettuce and not much else. Accompanied... More

Heard about Hogtown Vegan while on a shopping trip, checked it out online and decide if we ever ventured to Toronto we would give it a try so today we did . It was dinnertime and we took a seat in a booth , the waitress came along and when she found out it was just the 2 of us... More

If your looking for pub style food that is also vegan, this is the place. I has vegan takes on many pub standards like "pulled non-pork" and "po boy sandwich"

I've been here twice now, once at noon (when they first open) and once during the evening. The lunch specials offers better specials than dinnertime, both cost wise and selection wise. Both times, there was only one server, and the food took about twenty minutes. I admit unchicken and vegan mac and cheese were delicious but when you have wait... More

It honestly blows my mind that there could be any negative reviews for this place, but I only had the chance to dine here once. Having grown up in Georgia, I can't tell you what a treat it was to have Vegan Southern Faire so far from home. While, I came for the "unchicken" and waffles, I barely had room... More

I need to first address how amazing Hogtown Vegan's "unchicken" and waffles are. I'd never had chicken and waffles prior to trying Hogtown's vegan version, and I honestly think I would be disappointed eating real chicken. The waffles honestly just looked like eggo's and were cold and not that fluffy, but the "chicken" definitely made up for that. Unfortunately when... More

Nice place, good service but horrible food. I had the traditional breakfast, "omelette" with mushrooms and vegan cheese and home fries. The omelette and homefries were ok at best while the vegan cheese, just the smell, made me want to hurl. It was the single worst dining experience of my life. Would not go back.

A friend and I decided to try Hogtown given that we were in the neighborhood. I had "chicken" fingers with fries and waffles. The "chicken" fingers and fries were reasonably good. The waffles were dry and not even warm. The coffee was flat the first time. The refill was only slighly better. While the service was good for a busy... More

This small neighbourhood vegan restaurant, west of Christie Pits, at Bloor and Shaw, is a gem! What the chef does with his seitan is amazing. Just thinking about his collard greens makes my mouth water. I usually order a side of collards with most of my meals. They also serve a wonderful brunch.

This place is incredible. My wife have been about 5 times since early 2013. It is hands down the best vegan restaurant in Toronto! We have been there for breakfast/lunch, and dinner and both were phenomenal!! We have been to many MANY vegan restaurants and this one is the best! We have also taken our non-vegan family and a some... More
