We just happened to find Wish during a recent dtsy in Toronto because it was beside our hotel. It had a great atmosphere and a beautiful little patio so we decided to give it a try. It turned out to be the best part of our stay! The food was unique and delicious, the staff were friendly and attentive and... More

For anyone that works in the neighborhood, the quality dining places are limited outside of Yorkville. A friend chose this place and I welcomed the different scenery! We made a lunch reso for 4 people. The service was decent, menu looked good and the décor was lovely. I ordered the fried chicken club sandwich and a coke- it was not... More

We have been looking at Wish for a while and thought it would be a nice place to visit, well it was disappointing as it look so much nicer than it is. You get served but that is all I can say about the service, not really looked after and not considering the price tag. The food was once again... More

Officially the worst dining experience of my life. Waited 30 minutes for our drinks. We were a large party but still. We then waited 2 hours for our dinner. Each plate was brought out one by one. We asked for an ETA after about 90 minutes and were told food was being plated. 45 minutes later our party of 15... More

The atmosphere is nice- we sat on the front patio, which had heaters set up. It was still a bit chilly (March in Toronto), but not too bad. Drinks were ordered and came quickly. The food looked really promising. There were quite a few veggie options, but I settled on a Kale salad and onion rings. The onion rings were... More

The first thing we noticed was that our $13 glasses of wine were barely half full. These were not huge glasses, and it felt quite cheap and stingy of them. Very interestingly, we noticed a table of locals whom the staff obviously knew, and their glasses were full! I love the double standard. My family and I are not locals,... More

The restaurant has a lot of charm. It is in an old house with the front porch covered for outside seating (with heating). The seating is nice with long benches and cushions. The menu has great variety and interesting features - omelette, pasta, and special (meat loaf), good variety of vegetarian and a vegan option. The food was fresh. I... More

We went with some friends for Winterlicious dinner. We were crammed into the small space; we expected that, but we didn't expect the tiny chairs at the table. The food was okay, but nothing to write home about. It was good, but not great. The cocktails were excellent though. The service was also very good. Our server was very attentive.

I had a business meeting and we decided to try Wish. The restaurant is small but the portions aren't. I had the Omelette of the Day and my friend had a turkey burger. Both were very good with choice of sides. Service was very good.

Tried the brunch, decent florentine and Charlotte Benedict as well the peameal bacon. Not bad, but we were informed that they were out of grapefruit juice, salmon and tomatoes (they eventually found the last 2). Service a bit tentative but more annoying was the need to getting up and close the door to the patio most customers were leaving open... More
