A Wonderful Experience

We had dinner here a few days ago and are still raving about the food! The Manhattan Steak arrived as medium as could be and was succulent. The succotash was a perfect pairing with it and I am glad that my wife ordered it. I ordered the cajun mushrooms and while good, they were not on par with... read more

We were in the Shore club on a recommendation of the concierge - we were looking for a good combination of a steakhouse and a seafood restaurant - and the Shore club is exactly the place combining it great way. The atmosphere is intimate - tables are sifficiently away from each other. Great service, personal and taking time. Both steak... More

Nice venue by the Ritz Carleton. Was craving a steak and was not disappointed. Had the bone in rib steak and was pleased with the service and entire meal. We ate in the lounge rather than the dining room and enjoyed the less formal atmosphere.

GREAT food and wine! This restaurant has excellent, high-quality proteins and some amazing side dishes. The Cajun mushrooms were a real delight as were the vanilla battered prawns. The wine was superb and the desserts were to die for, especially the coconut cream pie.

Just had dinner there last night. Have to say I was very impressed. The service was friendly and accommodating, the food was great (very well prepared), portion sizes substantial enough for sure, atmosphere was lovely. We had the sea bass, halibut, wild mushrooms, prawn cocktail, grilled tomatoes, green beans, coconut cream pie, creme brule, and smoked cheese plate...all were very... More

My wife and I stopped by the shore club after touring the CN tower and Hockey Hall of Fame. It was our first trip to Toronto and Google had directed me to the Shore Club as we were craving some sea food and we enjoy buck-a-shuck events which the restaurant has weekdays from 4-7. The restaurant itself is beautiful with... More

Went for a business dinner with another couple. Food was passable, but nothing will leave a culinary memory. The usual suspects; Artic char, steak, fries, creamed corn. A good selection of Canadian wines at a reasonable price. All in all, a good meal, although our server forgot to bring the salad course after the charcuterie board. Soul is an important... More

Staying in Downtown West

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
