A fun vibe with decent food for a pub

While the beer selection was really nice both domestic micro brew and internationals, the food was above average but not blow you away good but lets be real....when you go to an Irish Pub you don't go for the food you go for the beer and the relaxed vibe and this has both. The back patio was cute... read more

This busy Irish pub sits on the edge of Toronto's Cabbagetown neighborhood, after the early Irish immigrants who put down their roots here. Upon entry, there is a comy lounge area; climb a few stairs and you come upon the bar with a eclectic choice of taps, many of these being local crafts (including Caffrey's Red Ale- not available in... Very comfortable atmosphere. Bar seats or comfy chairs. fireplace, board games, piano. Very inviting. Servers are pleasant and competent. Food ranges from excellent (lamb burger was so succulent) to tasty (balsamic veggie sandwich; bruschetta) to mediocre (veggie burger - dry & not flavourful). Fish & chips is consistently great (excellent batter). Had salmon once but is was dry. Desserts are... More

Just came here the other day for pub trivia and ordered the Mac and cheese with bacon and house ketchup. It was not bad except they forgot the bacon so I had to ask for it to come on the side. Was still charged for it which was a surprise. The meal itself was just alright- good portion size and... More

Huge beer menu - ton of craft beers! Pretty good selection of gluten free ciders and beers as well. The gluten-free mac and cheese is absolutely amazing with their house ketchup. I highly recommend it! The small patio in the back is a hidden gem... definitely check it out during patio season

Went with friends who had the meatloaf and I the Irish stew. The stew was very tasty yet had only 5 very small bite size pieces of lamb. For a main dish at $15, I expected much better. My dining partners very much enjoyed the meatloaf buy reported it was lukewarm at best. It comes with fries but if you... More

....but the food could be a littttttttle bit better not gonna lie! I come here often for pub trivia nights with my friends which is a blast. We usually grab a bite to eat but I have to admit that the food could use a little bit of a re-vamp (minus the deep fried pickles). I ordered regular wings and... More

Usually for pub trivia nights and my friends and I always have a great time! Some times we order food, sometimes just drinks (they have a great beer selection) and sometimes we order just the dessert specials. Staff and maangement are great and their pub trivia nights are a blast. HIghly recommend this place if you are in the area!

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
