I live just down the street from Auld Spot, but we never really go in and frequent another pub down the way (there are plenty to chose from). However, i's a good spot with a nice warm vibe, a food menu that isn't overly traditional and is a notch higher than your average "pub-grub". The beer on draught is mostly... More

Really love this local spot for a night out with friends. On this occasion we had the fish and chips - always good - but we have had the oysters which are also good. My wife (she's the one with the taste) said that the fish tasted a little funny. Maybe the oil they used to cook the fish. I... More

We went there with family and friends. The oysters were excellent and so was the rest of the meal and the sweet potato fries. Great selection of beers but we missed a nice Guinness. The music was a little bit too loud. We'll definitely go back (when there won't be any screaming toddlers around). Not really the place to go... More

I enjoy the Auld Spot. It's a great place for a casual meal and some drinks with friends. The burgers are good and fries are excellent. A good place for conversation because music is not too loud. Thought it calls itsself a "pub" its more of a restaurant and the wait staff really push the food.

This local pub, and I say local even though it's located on the busy Danforth, is a wonderful spot for good beer, attentive service and great food. This is not your average pub fare, so if your looking for nachos and wings walk a few blocks east. Though they do have Drummies, a drumstick version of wings, this is as... More

Great place to spend an evening in Danforth, the food is kind of old style pub food but modernized and improved to a great deal. Wide beer selection, excellent service and a very good atmosphere. Specially recommendable to order are the chicken wings and the dipping dish with mushrooms, cheese and bacon, really delicious. All that, and very reasonable prizes... More

This is a pub, sure, because it looks like one and serves poutine and fish and chips. But I've also had braised duck with goat cheese gnocci, beech mushrooms, asparagus and truffle oil. The service at this restaurant is incredible (I was invited back into the kitchen to talk to the chef since I wanted to know how they made... More

The bar atmosphere can be deceiving as this place has an amazing menu of food. That is not to say the atmosphere is not nice, it just feels like a bar more than a fine dining restaurant. I highly suggest checking this place out.

Some friends that live in Litlle Italy took me to this place. I was expected bangers and mash, fish and chips, etc but instead, they kicked it up a notch at the Auld Spot. Sure they still had the pub favorites but tended to jazz them up. I had Sheppard's Pie but it was made with duck confit and tasted... More

The food has always been better than typical bar fare with an alright beer selection but tonight I went there and they screwed up my dinner partner's dinner order but I found a hair in my burger. They then not so subtly accused me of lying to get a free meal and used the fact that I didn't find the... More
