Upscale casual, downtown Toronto. The first JOEY to hit the streets of downtown Toronto. Located just off Yonge on Dundas, this place is a work of art - exposed brick walls, open-air dining, crazy custom lighting and the Enomatic wine system. We could go on, but you should come and see it for yourself.

Fun place with a high end sports bar feel.

What is surprising about this place is how good the food actually is. It has lots of televisions .....large screens, small screens and huge screens but it still feel comfortable and inviting. The food is surprisingly good for this type of place it is actually delicious. I go there every time I am... read more

Went there for dinner on a Saturday night without a reservation. Had to wait about 20 minutes for a table. We were offered hors-d'oeuvres on the house while we waited. The service was excellent. Youngish crowd.Casual Got a booth next to a window by the street. The food was nice.My adult daughter had severe allergies and they took special care of it... More

Great place for a casual business lunch. Food was wonderful, light, and brought out in a timely fashion. Wine selection was good. Our only concern was for the well being of our waitress. She herself was lovely, but it was clear she had been using some of narcotic (heroin was our tables guess) by the numerous track marks on her... More

We dropped by for a late lunch with our daughter on the day before she started at University. The place was very busy and there was no room, but it was only a quick wait, which was made very enjoyable with a small glass of white wine and delicious flatbread... all complimentary! The waited was very attentive, though we found... More

I have been to Joey's for numerous events, lunches, dinners and corporate events and also private events and have enjoyed this restaurant each time, have never been disappointed. Food is great, drinks are good. Staff is very friendly. Food is served quickly. Sandwiches, burgers, noodles are great, I love the salmon.

Four of us went to Joey Eaton Centre for dinner on a Friday night after work. We were greeted by very friendly staff and seated at a table quickly. Our waitress, Victoria, was amazing. She knew just what to ask and was very knowledgeable on the menu. Our drinks arrived quickly and were just what we ordered. We were given... More

New to working in Toronto, I had lunch at here at the suggestion of a friend. I will 100% return. The atmosphere is very business-casual, everyone was a "suit" having a business lunch. But don't be intimidated - a very warm and welcoming place. Our waitress was great, very friendly and helpful. Service was exceptionally quick, given it was lunch... More

We went to Joey's at the Eaton centre and were greeted warmly by their hostesses. In spite of the restaurant being extremely busy on a Friday night, we still managed to get a great table and were served promptly some beverages. Our dinner order was taken and our food arrived in great time and was hot and just right. I... More

I have been to many Spanish restaurants, and I have never had a better dish of paella as the one I had at Joey! Like I was shocked by the ingredients, taste, smell and look of the plate. Well done guys. I will be coming soon, and maybe this time order two dishes of paella just for myself! Yes ,... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
