An enjoyable lunchtime experience

Our third visit with friends has proved to be as successful as the previous two. It is so typical of the French ambience, with lots of wood, glass, hard floors some booths, and a beautifully decorative glass ceiling. The lunch menu was varied and reasonably expensive ,and the wines can soar in price... read more

Our third visit with friends has proved to be as successful as the previous two. It is so typical of the French ambience, with lots of wood, glass, hard floors some booths, and a beautifully decorative glass ceiling. The lunch menu was varied and reasonably expensive ,and the wines can soar in price quite easily. The service was polite and professional. The ambience was... More

My only complaint was that it is really hot in this place! Not sure if they didnt have air conditioning or if they didnt turn it on.....food and service was all very good, we were a large group of people and everything came out well and together. Not cheap but good portion size and tastes good.

The tomato and cucumber salad I had was excellent - very fresh with heirloom tomatoes. I've definitely had better French onion soup. The person I had dinner with ordered the mushroom soup and that was very, very good. When we received the check, I saw that they charged me CA$4.00 for unsweetened iced tea - which is fine. However, they... More

The food is expensive for nothing. Came here after 11pm for more drinks and food. The food was awful, and the service wasn't any better.

Went in with some friends for a Sunday Brunch (also happened to be Father's Day). The staff were super nice, and accommodating. Our server, Emily, was very sweet. The food was absolutely divine. Scone, pancakes, english breakfasts, everything that everyone was AH-MAZING. And, another server was kind enough to charge my phone for me, as it was about to die... More

I am inspired to write on Trip Advisor when hotels and/or restaurants are either VERY good or VERY bad. Unfortunately this is a VERY BAD review. We had booked, well in advance, a table of 10, to celebrate Father's Day at brunch. Family members had come into town from across the country and beyond. We picked this restaurant as a... More

I enjoyed a lovely meal. Oysters, the Wednesday lamb special, a deconstructed sour cherry cheesecake. The setting and decor are impeccable, as is the cooking, hostesses and waiting staff. Service time is, however, mind-numbingly belabored. Don't be in a hurry.

The service appears to have gone downhill in recent months. My order was wrong, it was sent back and returned cold. No apology, no follow up from server to ask how it was. Just a miserable experience overall. The hostess and busboy were the only saving grace. A smile and apology goes a long way...

We loved everything, especially the friendly and attentive service - notwithstanding the food which was delicious!

The decor and location of the French Bistro are wonderfull....full on high end bistro style with cozy half circle banguettes, huge eat at bar and nice terrace to eat outside during good weather. Located in the Collonade building on Bloor St. just east of Avenue Rd. with free parking underground (restaurant will give you a parking chit when you leave).... More
