Great food and value

Beautiful restaurant in the heart of downtown Toronto. We have been a few times for large group events usually birthdays or family get-togethers. The food is usually very good and the prices are reasonable. Our favorite is the steak frites. If you go on Thursday and sit at the bar oysters are one... read more

We went for a friend's birthday party and dined in the beautiful party room. It was like being transported to Paris. The décor of the restaurant is incredible. The staff was so welcoming, not rude even with a large party, they were efficient and nice. Will definitely go back again! Highlight was definetly dessert, the chocolate cake and crème brûlée!

My fiance had proposed to me earlier in the day and planned a surprise party at night where all my friends and family could join us in celebrating. We had a lot of people fly from in from California or drove in from a 2.5-3 hour commute, therefore it was important that we could treat them to a memorable meal/experience.... More

La Societe is a local favorite of many people I know so I thought I'd bring a group of colleague friends there for a lunch. It was extremely uneventful and the atmosphere from staff is somewhat pretentious. The food choices we happened to pick [P.E.I. Mussels Frites (bland), Steak Tartare, Duck Confitto (too salty) to name a few] where not... More

Great experience overall - went for Winterlicious - and food was excellent. Will definitely recommend and revisit. The Grand Marnier Creme Brulee was exquisite.

I finally made it for dinner here after years of listening to my husband rave about the wonderful lunches he's had here. The decor is beautiful - very Parisian. We were seated in the main dining room in a booth with very comfortable buttery leather seats. Very cozy but lots of room for 4. Our waitress was right over with... More

After many years of dining out in Toronto, we finally put this lovely French restaurant on our Winterlicious tour. We enjoyed a wonderful lunch today. The food was lovely – oysters, chicken supreme, lemon meringue tart for me and chocolate bomb for my husband – and the service good. We ordered a glass of bubbly to have with our starters... More

I had been here years gone by in one of its former incarnations. This is a big space. it seems they have it well divided into bar and dining areas. Prominent oyster bar. At first the service seemed a bit slow and overly casual, but ultimately it proved to be just relaxed. Not pushy at all. If you are in... More

Ambience was very nice but that's when it all fell apart. We waited a long time before we were greeted at our table and we had a concert to attend so we were really hoping to get our order in quickly. Finally we were served and were saddened to know we couldn't get the prix fixed dinner as we didn't... More
