My husband has mussels for 22 dollars and it was a huge amount. I had the LS club and it was not good at all - 18 dollars. Fine location in the middle of Yorkville. I probably wouldn't come back. Seats are uncomfortable and it's very crowded. Waitstaff was great and friendly

I came to the La Societe restaurant for brunch with my daughters and their friend on Saturday afternoon. We had been seated at the table of our choosing and treated extremely cordially and professionally. The waiter extended my daughters and their friend every courtesy despite their young age (12y/o). The food was excellent and the general atmosphere very relaxing. I... More

This place has nice food, not cheap but meanwhile not family friendly. Never the least, you can't have a few month baby and go there on a sunny day or you shall be nastily greeted by the most unfriendly and rude bunch of waitresses.

When we first walked in the restaurant, we knew we were in for a treat. Beautiful decor; all black and white with dark wood. And the stained glass ceiling..... I had the day's quiche - a light vegetable in a delicious, buttery crust. It came with a side salad of leafy greens and a champagne dressing. My husband had the... More

The food is amazing. Loved the steak & frites and the sides are fantastic - order them all and share!

I am a native Parisian now living in Toronto for a few years. I traveled extensively across North America and I always was extremely critical of places claiming to be French and that are from being it. This place was interesting. The indoor seating had the feeling of an authentic French Brasserie, especially with the round seatings and the way... More

We were staying nearby on Bloor Street and wanted to find a brunch spot closeby that took reservations and up popped La Societe! Really easy to find and a pretty big restaurant. We had a reservation for when they first opened at 11am on a Sunday so it wasn't too busy, but the place sure did fill up. Brunch was... More

Went to La Societe for a late lunch after shopping. The location is interesting and if you're on the small (and crowded) patio, the view of the street allows you to easily people watch. The food was good, but not great. Omelette was a little under done. Chicken cobb salad was nice, but nothing special. The chef appears to be... More

We went to Bloor Street to do some shopping and went to Hugo Boss and as we were walking around found this hidden little gem of a French Bistro above Cartier . . ..we walked in and found a beautifully decorated Art Nouveau space and sat at bar.. Ashley the bartender was friendly and attentive and we ordered the Tuna... More

We went to "La Societe", for an early dinner. We invited a couple of friends to celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary. They did not know that though <devilish smile>. The location cannot get any better, the building looks nice and the interior of the restaurant is impressive. It does look indeed like an oversized "brasserie" or due to the lack... More
