Just speaking for myself, when I am traveling and out, especially for lunch when I'm working, I am more interested in good food, decent service and reasonable comfort than a great dining experience. Spicy Thai delivered on all 3. I like Thai food and if I don't notice anything bad, that's good. Like a previous reviewer I had Pad Thai... More

Not bad, not good. The fresh spring rolls were my favorite part of the meal. The pad Thai was ok. Ordered it medium, and it wasn't spicy at all. I was not a fan of the shrimp in mine. My husband got his without shrimp, and then wound up not eating the tofu either because he said it tasted bad.... More

Please heed my advice. Save your money and eat elsewhere. Please listen. Watery food, bland, frozen vegetables used, etc. terrible.

The restaurant is very interestingly decorated and fun to look at. We had the chicken satay and the spring rolls which was quite tasty. For mains I had one of the noodle dishes which was nice and spicy. The vegetables were fresh and prepared al dente. Excellent choice. The cocktails were not winners but it was still enjoyable. It could... More

Service was fast and friendly after a bit of a slow start. Wonton soup broth lacked character, tasted like hot water mostly. Vegetables were crisp. Drinks ho hum. Food was hot without seeming to be truly spicy from a flavor point of view.

Worst Thai food ever. I am not a picky eater at all; I will eat pretty much anything and be satisfied. The Spice Thai Cafe was horrible. I ordered the sweet and sour chicken dish and honestly felt like I was going to vomit when I left. The sauce tasted like it came from a can, the vegetables were clearly... More

First off, the name of the restaurant is actually Spice Thai Cafe, not Spicy Thai. Went here with friends who don't often have Thai food (although they enjoy it) and their 15 and seven year old who had never tried Thai before. Our friends ordered their dishes spicy, and they apparently weren't spicy at all. My husband and I are... More

the food was simply awful, very greasy and flavourless compared with my favourite Thai takeaway back home. My Pad Thai tasted so bland and my sister's order arrived after everyone else had finished. The waiter gave a very dumbstruck look when we said how dissapointed we were the only plus sides are the good location and nice ambience of the... More

Service was slow. Food was bland--for thai!!! It wasn't awful, just not worth a repeat in a huge city like Toronto with so many other options.
