The restaurant was full on a Thursday evening at 8 o'clock! The restaurant doesn't assign your "own" table, expect to be seat just besides an unknown person. The food was great, but our server seemed disinterested in serving us. We enjoyed our Pad Thai, but our serving size seemed smaller that everyone else s.

I find it hard to understand the negative reviews of this place. Every time my (Thai) wife and I are in town we eat here. Yes you have to wait a few minutes to get seated but that's a testament to how popular this joint is. Yes the place is noisy and crowded but this is an authentic Thai eatery,... More

I travelled throughout Thailand last year on a 10 day vacation. So when our son told me the buzz going around about Khao San Road in Toronto, we had to give it a try. There were four of us in our party. Advance reservations are not an option. Neither will they seat you until all members of your party have... More

I've been to this restaurant twice.I love the food but the service is terrible. First of all they don't take reservations. So I stood in line while my husband went to park right across the road. I asked for a table for two and they said I had to wait to be seated until he came. I told them I... More

I completely agree with early review that this place is overrated. Host and wait staff are so casual it's frustrating. We were the last seating before kitchen closed so we placed out orders with the host at his request, once seated after waiting about 45 min we were told they had run out of our appetisers, we placed a different... We came here for lunch on a weekday and there was seating available immediately. We sat at the bar and ordered one plate of the chef's "special" pad thai to share (we couldn't take any leftovers home and didn't want to waste food). It was absolutely delicious! We ended up wishing we'd gotten two full orders so we could gorge... More

This place has a joke for hosting/seating situation and there is no hospitality to speak of. The restaurant is small and cramped. The wait times are very long and the host is annoying in that they try to guestimate when there will be a free table but they do not have a seating time limit. This makes the guestimate absolutely... We have visited Thailand many times and thought the food here was very comparable to the real thing. Loved the fact some of the staff are actually Thai.

Every month for the past 3 years, 8-10 of us hit a different restaurant to try what is new and trendy in the city. We arrange with the restaurant ahead of time and many chefs have even created special menus for us. We're all committed to meeting and have had an amazing adventure. Never once in all this time have... More
