What I love about The Khao San Road is not only that ALL the items are delicious, but that it is so consistent every single time, and so much value for your money. Many cities and towns would die to have a Khao San in their community, we are the lucky ones. Long live the Jhao San Road!

Met some friends here for dinner. It was kind of hard to find the spot as there were no signs out front but having seen a picture online and asking random people for directions I eventually found it. The Veggie Pad Thai with Tofu was excellent but the restaurant was way too cramped and loud (I could barely hear my... More

Spiteful host would not seat my party as 1 guest was outside. We politely asked to be seated and get some food going. He refused in a restaurant less than 1/3 full. As our colleague was on lengthy call we ask to be seated absent her. The host went out of his way to tell us he would not seat... More

I don't quite get it. Maybe I'm getting grumpy, but I can't get my brain around the idea of standing in line for hours, or waiting for hours to get something to eat and have to pay for it. I'd stand in line for free things. So, let's this out of the way. You need to stand in line. Because... More

On a cold Toronto spring night, nothing beats a nice hot curry and this did not disappoint. It was packed at 9 pm and I decided on take out. It was 30 mins wait but was worth it. The portion sizes are a lot smaller than what I am used to, but the quality is fantastic. Would eat here again

Can be very busy so go early. Limited drink menu. I told server I needed gluten free choice but he chastised me later for not stating allergy. I would think saying I need GF would be equivalent to declaring I have an allergy. Good tasted great but portions were smaller than average and I was hungry after. Massive group waiting... More

Khao San Road is a location in Thailand where backpackers go for reasonably priced hotels, bars & partying and right before Thailand’s New Year the Songkran festival. The festival marks the start of the year where people splash water on each other to express love and goodwill towards each other; after all, what could be friendlier than getting a bucket... More

I really enjoy this place. Great various styles of pad thai and other dishes, like panang curry. Sometimes they are really busy but the food is always consistently good, and well worth waiting for. The starters are also really good, like garlic tofu and fritters.

The wait is ridiculous because the place is crazy busy but it's perfectly understandable! The food is absolutely fabulous. No other Thai restaurant in the city has food this authentic and delicious! They won’t take reservations which is understandable because of the high traffic. My only complaint is that they have not opened up 10 locations so my family and... More
