I have been going to the my OLD favorite thai restaurant onbirthday for the past 20 years in Ottawa, and missed it for the first time this year. Being in Toronto, I decided to go for Khao San Road for the first time because of the reputation. I now have a new favorite restaurant! The flavours are absolute heaven, speaking... More

The line at Khao San Road kind of speaks for itself. The place was packed with quite a line outside, but with an announced 30 minute wait we were in in less than 15 minutes. The pad gra prao with chicken was cooked with only a 1 (mild) yet had a little heat. The red bell pepper, onion, garlic, fresh... More

The line ups say it all. Good food, reasonable prices always crowded, get there early or late; otherwise expect a long wait. Service is brusque, befitting a restaurant that never has to worry about finding patrons.

Before our trip to Toronto, I've done a lot (and i mean A LOT) of research before deciding on Khao San Road. So here we are, starving and tired after all day of walking around Toronto. We got to the restaurant and were greeted by a group of people waiting their turn to be seated. After few minutes the waitress... More

Given I am from the DC area I don't get much exposure to Thai food so my opinion is relative, Khao San Road was definitely the best Thai food I have ever had. The restaurant was small and open air which was perfect on a beautiful Toronto day. We had to wait about 25 minutes for a table for two... More

Let me start by saying I hate Pad Thai. Sweet, ketchup-y, just not my thing. Well, that changed at Khao San Road. My husband tried the Pad Thai, and it smelled so good that I had to sneak a forkful. Wow. Let me first apologize to the Thai community, because wherever the hell I was eating before was clearly not... More

Dearly beloved, as a devotee of Thai food I believe Khao San Road is located at the intersection of There is a God Avenue and Holy Basil Boulevard. The Pad gra prao (beef for me) used to be one of my most frequent Thai lunches in Hong Kong - this is the first time I've eaten something as good here... More

Khao San Road has been my go-to for Thai since they opened and got that glorious spread in the Globe and Mail. I would recommend getting there at opening (5:00PM on most days) to avoid waiting an hour+ for a table. Through the week you shouldn't have a problem round 6:00PM but definitely aim for 5:00PM on Fridays and Saturdays.... More

Khao San Road is one of my favourite restaurants in Toronto. I've been to Khao San Road many times and I will continue to be a regular customer. I highly recommend it! What to expect: If you are thinking of checking out Khao San Road for the first time, you should know that they do not take reservations and, because... More
