Stopped in recently for dinner while in town with a few co-workers. Nice location ... very large place but still gets very busy. Service was very good .. the waiter was very friendly and helpful. I started with a pizza, and then had pasta for the entree .. both were quite nice and I probably didn't need that much food.... More

I've eaten at other Mercatto's in Toronto many times and have had good experiences. This is my first time at the Eaton Center location. I ordered the soup of the day which was fine and a salad. I just have to say that the salad was an abomination. A handful of shreds of romaine, with brown patches and rotten bits... More

A fellow traveller on the Megabus from Niagara recommended it when we asked where to eat near the bus station.the Eaton centre is a typical North American mall with a good food court in the basement but on the ground is this excellent trattoria for lunch etc. Great wine selection wide range of excellent Italian cuisine , I am sorry... Stopped in today for a late lunch, seated promptly. Drink order taken, great recommendation for white wine, no bread sticks offered. Husband ordered the soup of the day, I had the salad. The pizza we ordered was NOT correct, but we did not complain, server seemed to be in his own world. We have been here many times before, will... More

This was our first port of call when we arrived in Toronto after the 7 hour flight from London, so it's hard to be totally objective about this place. We just wanted to get something to eat near to where we were staying without really trying too hard. We found this place in the Eaton Centre and it just fitted... More

Went there with a group of 6. One person had her food forgotten not once but twice by the server. Pizza had so little taste that we had to put other sauce on it. My ravioli wasn't fully cooked. Tiramisu was disappointing, almost no cookie, just a bunch of cream. Overall, this restaurant is not a place I would go... More

Enjoyed lunch here while staying at a nearby hotel. The scallop starter was excellent, as was the pappardelle alla bolognese. Slightly pricier than the Mr. Greenjeans upstairs, but still very reasonable. The starters range from $7 to $14. Most pasta entrees are in the $16 to $19 range, which is pretty standard nowadays. Desserts were $5 to $8 if I... More

Nice decor, high ceilings and fast service but pretty assembly line Old World menu, and on the expensive side for what you get. I would compare it to Terroni as a step up, a good choice pre-something else, not as a night out dinner. They obviously get a lot of pre-show, pre-event dinner crowd since they saw papers in our...
