Went on Saturday about noon. The host seated us about as far out of the way as possible. Service was very slow. Ordered a pizza that was the worst thing either of us had ever eaten. A glass of house wine, a Jack on the rocks and a lousy pizza later, we got a bill for $63. There are plenty... More

I am actually kind of shocked to see good reviews about this restaurant. Visited there last week with my daughter while shopping in the Eaton Centre. My daughter ordered Pasta with meat sauce and I was told it had " meat sauce". Was given the smallest portion I have ever seen for $12.95 and was a pomodoro sauce with no... More

Make sure you have the octopus entrée - very tasty. The place is also very modern and agreeable. The pasta is also very good.

No trip to the Toronto Eaton Centre is complete without a stop at Mercatto for me. I love the vibe of this popular trattoria, the service and the food! Wine by the glass is available in 3 sizes, depending on your thirst. The chalkboard above the bar features daily soup, salumi (local & imported artisanal meats), formaggi (cheeses), and large... Stopped in recently for dinner while in town with a few co-workers. Nice location ... very large place but still gets very busy. Service was very good .. the waiter was very friendly and helpful. I started with a pizza, and then had pasta for the entree .. both were quite nice and I probably didn't need that much food.... More

I've eaten at other Mercatto's in Toronto many times and have had good experiences. This is my first time at the Eaton Center location. I ordered the soup of the day which was fine and a salad. I just have to say that the salad was an abomination. A handful of shreds of romaine, with brown patches and rotten bits... More

A fellow traveller on the Megabus from Niagara recommended it when we asked where to eat near the bus station.the Eaton centre is a typical North American mall with a good food court in the basement but on the ground is this excellent trattoria for lunch etc. Great wine selection wide range of excellent Italian cuisine , I am sorry... Stopped in today for a late lunch, seated promptly. Drink order taken, great recommendation for white wine, no bread sticks offered. Husband ordered the soup of the day, I had the salad. The pizza we ordered was NOT correct, but we did not complain, server seemed to be in his own world. We have been here many times before, will... More

This was our first port of call when we arrived in Toronto after the 7 hour flight from London, so it's hard to be totally objective about this place. We just wanted to get something to eat near to where we were staying without really trying too hard. We found this place in the Eaton Centre and it just fitted... More
