This was our first port of call when we arrived in Toronto after the 7 hour flight from London, so it's hard to be totally objective about this place. We just wanted to get something to eat near to where we were staying without really trying too hard. We found this place in the Eaton Centre and it just fitted... More

Went there with a group of 6. One person had her food forgotten not once but twice by the server. Pizza had so little taste that we had to put other sauce on it. My ravioli wasn't fully cooked. Tiramisu was disappointing, almost no cookie, just a bunch of cream. Overall, this restaurant is not a place I would go... More

Enjoyed lunch here while staying at a nearby hotel. The scallop starter was excellent, as was the pappardelle alla bolognese. Slightly pricier than the Mr. Greenjeans upstairs, but still very reasonable. The starters range from $7 to $14. Most pasta entrees are in the $16 to $19 range, which is pretty standard nowadays. Desserts were $5 to $8 if I... More

Nice decor, high ceilings and fast service but pretty assembly line Old World menu, and on the expensive side for what you get. I would compare it to Terroni as a step up, a good choice pre-something else, not as a night out dinner. They obviously get a lot of pre-show, pre-event dinner crowd since they saw papers in our... We always wanted to try one of the Mercatto restaurants, but feared that the food would hint at "corporate" or "factory" food. We had pizza, one of the pasta dishes, the soup of the day and the special. All of the food was good. If you visit one of these restaurants, go for the daily soup and the special ...... More

When there on weekend for lunch, the place wasn't busy. The service is good but the food take too long to delivery to table. We just order Chitarra alla Carbonara and Raviolli A Mano the food taste good with a hint of can tomato flavour on it just I feel is not worth for the price other then that the... More

i liked the decor of the place as i walked in to the eaton centre location for Mercatto.....the service efficiency was optimal and the food was decent. i could not help but feel disappointed with limited veg options but i cant complain about that living in toronto. ordered a pizza and a ravioli..both of them were average, though i think... Trattoria Mercatto is located in the Eaton Centre in Toronto. It is a spacious restaurant with a good choice of pizzas. They were quite thin and crispy with some interesting toppings. The services was friendly although a bit slow. However, there were plenty of bread sticks to eat while we were waiting. It was a little expensive though.
