My wife and I were spending the weekend in this area of Toronto and had been shopping on Ossington when we decided to stop for a drink at Union, before going to a different location for our dinner reservation. The bar at the front of Union is usually a good place to have a quick drink before you are seated... More

It's not the best restaurant ever but there's something about the combination of food, decor, staff etc... that just feels so right. I've eaten here a few times. It's always very good and very enjoyable. The Cote de Boeuf for 2 is excellent. I prefer to sit at the Chef's Bar if there are only 2 of us.

The Tartare they have is just amazing, perfectly seasoned and the meat is tender and tasty. They are used also to have a very nice charcutery plate... another strong asset to the menu

On a warm summer evening we ate here in the backyard patio. The ambience was relaxed and comfortable. The service friendly, helpful and accomodating. We ordered a wide selection including the elk sliders, charcuterie and tartare. All the food was tasty and well prepared. The decor is rustic and inviting with an open kitchen. The bar menu featured some unique... More

On my first night in Toronto, I came here on the recommendation of my Air B & B host and I'm so glad I did! My first great idea was to sit at the chefs bar, instead of in the window. This gave me immediate access to the chef, Ross, a very friendly kiwi, and his team, who made me... More

Union Restaurant and their sister Parisian Grocer/Butcher Shop, Côte de Boeuf, put together a flawless evening for us to celebrate our Daughter's wedding. After the ceremony we started at Union for champagne and charcuterie, which they seamlessly moved to their outdoor patio as the weather cleared. We then moved down the street to Côte de Boeuf for a private dinner... More

I went to Union 72 a few weeks ago for a brunch date with a friend and our significant others. We tried the cod fish cakes, steak tartare, frites with aioli, a few pints of beer and two French 75 cocktails. The service and atmosphere were great inside. Next time, we'll try the patio.

My husband and I were in the area visiting a friend.. suddenly, we were hungry! Our friend recommended Union 72, which was conveniently just a few doors north of their business. We sat in the back courtyard... which was absolutely fabulous and quaint... and enjoyed a delicious cheese plate - local cheeses with toasted baguette and apples drizzled in honey...... More

There are many restaurants for Sunday Brunch in Toronto, but none better than Union Restaurant. Casual bistro atmosphere, slate top tables, 2 small marble bars and a charming, whimsical mural depicting the countryside. The mural always reminds me of the wall art at Bemelmans Bar in NYC. Produce is locally sourced with menu emphasis on farm to table freshness. Lunch... More
