Lovingly owned by a couple who celebrate local and organic, small farm products in a way that is totally unpretentious and warm. A great place to converse (not crazy loud). This is a superlative place for brunch (extended to Monday & Friday for chefs and industry who can't come on weekends). Small sharable plates for dinner with so much imagination... More

Called in last minute for a party of four on Wensday night around 8pm and we got the last places. We got to try 6 of the tapas style dishes and 3 of the deserts. All were terrific, the pork knocks and the prawns were top-notch, but, the zucchini fell a little flat, it wasn't bad but not on par... More

Like the reviewer under me, I am also absolutely baffled as to how this place could have any sort of high reviews. Service is a joke- most horrid service in Toronto. Wait time- long. Had to flag waitress down multiple times to get service or ask for anything. She purposely ignored us or kept walking by and to other tables-... More

I was on a walk with my girlfriend and found this quaint restaurant which was busy, her and I checked out the menu it looked interesting. So the next day I came by with a business colleague for dinner which was my choice. We ate 4 out of 5 of the meat tapas and 2 vegetable. I am a food... More

My wife and I arrived in Toronto after fighting rush hour traffic and immediately went looking for someplace to eat dinner. My wife had researched before the trip and suggested Beast. I agreed that it sounded interesting and concurred. So we walked across downtown to get there. We caught their $10 Tuesdays special. We ordered 3 different dishes to share,... More

Had brunch here on a recent trip to Toronto. It is away from all the tourist traps and worth the 15 minute walk (you could easily ride the TCC or get a taxi). Be prepared to wait as the place is small and basically doubles seats in the summer while keeping the same two people cooking. The staff was great... More

My husband and I visiting Beast on a Monday for brunch. It was amazing! To drink, I had a mimosa and my husband had a dark & stormy cocktail made with their house-made ginger beer. It was to die for! To eat, I had Crab Cake Eggs Benedict with home fries and my husband had the Beastwich - both were... More

We happened to be in the neighbourhood and decided to chance a walk-in on a rainy Saturday evening and got lucky but it's a small place so reservations are recommended. The food is creative and unique with a number of choices we had never seen before such as fried snails. Most of the dishes were very tasty but deep frying... More

Went looking for the beastswitch which we had seen on a tv review. Unfortantely or fortunately when we arrived for dinner we found out that the beastswitch is only avaliable friday to monday brunch. However, we lucked out by going on $10 tapas night. We ordered 2 items each, we were not sharing so when they came out at different... More

Loved $10 dollar Tuesdays at Beast! Gets 5 stars in the category of good gourmet deal in Toronto. P.E. Oysters are $1 each, huge, cold, gorgeous and fresh served with house made hot sauce and lemon in the shell on a bed of salt---delicious!!! The patio is lovely, the perfect summer evening temperature just inside a quiet side street with... More
