Fantastic brunch

Wow for such a tiny establishment, what comes out of the kitchen is top shelf. I just had brunch here on Saturday and it was delicious. My mom said the French toast was the most amazing she has ever eaten. Step dad had smoked trout benidict and also loved it. I had the Bruce leroy. Which was... read more

I'm becoming disheartened by restaurant service in Toronto. While cooks may be doing a sound job, service offered to paying patrons is anything but acceptable - cool, if not downright cold. Shame on you Beast - you have an interesting menu, but don't seem to care that your server who sees to tables on the north side of the restaurant... More

Stopped by this place for dinner on a recent trip to Toronto, and we were not disappointed we got 2 plates each and shared. The service was amazing. I recommend going for their version of the happy hour menu which ends at 7pm, but whatever you get be prepared for an awesome meal!

Really good brunch, prepare yourself and don't eat the day before :) The food was so good, I had eggs benedict and choriso on the side. Delicious! Their teas and coffee are worth tasting, very interesting flavours. Especially the coffee. I've never tasted something similar before. Hidden gem! Its quite secluded.

The Beast...what a gem in Toronto's King West area. I went there with my cousin for Sunday brunch, and it was, without question, the best brunch I've had in life (so much so that I caved and pulled an "OMG, let's shamelessly take pics of our plates and Instagram it and hashtag the sh** out of it!). I ordered the... More

If you didn't have internet, you probably would never find the place. However, it's definitely worth a visit. It is a small, non-assuming restaurant which best feature is indeed their food. The plates are made for sharing and the menu apparently changes frequently. We tried two fish plates and two meat plates and were pleased with all (although their "poutine"... More

Speechlessly delicious and creative cuisine. The Mrs & I were in town for a Baseball and Foodie Tour. Beast out lived the pack of eateries we visited and finished FIRST. Our experience, Sunday brunch style: fried pickles, “poutine”, fried gnocchi, gravy of the day, cheese curds, this Planets Best Bloody Mary, pork belly, peameal bacon with two eggs, house potatoes,... Great restaurant with awesome atmosphere as well as very friendly staff. They offer a Happy Hour between 5-7pm, with $5 selected drinks and small plates. Excellent value for money and even the normal price food are also very good and reasonably priced.

Get there right at 10 or be prepared to wait when going for brunch. Terrific food though, with some interesting twists. Local, organic and sustainable. Good service, large portions.

My friend and I are notorious for doing brunch in NYC, and decided we had to find a killer spot for brunch during our trip to Toronto. Beast was definitely not a let down, and was probably the best brunch we have ever had. I order the pollo loco sandwich with breakfast potatoes. The pollo loco sandwich was fried chicken... More
