I had a basic lunch with some sashimi, sushi, & sake. The presentation was lovely and everything was well prepared. The restaurant had great atmosphere and I was seated without difficulty without a reservation. The staff was very nice and even offered help in selecting choices for the novice sushi-eaters. The price-point is higher for any sushi restaurant because of... More

The rolls and fish were excellent. Great selection with a delicious panko oyster, eel with rice and miso fish. The food was fresh and of a high quality at a reasonable price. The service was quick and friendly. The restaurant is not large, but the tables are comfortably spaced. I would definitely come back if I lived here.

Unfortunately our waiter was not interested or helpful to decide what to order. As others noted, food just comes out with no pacing. Overall not a pleasant experience.

I came with a group of 11 that included two very young children. The staff were great and very attentive. They even gave us ice cubes to put in the miso soup as it was too hot for the children. We ordered sashimi and a number of cooked dishes and appetizers but did not have any sushi. All the food... More

We called to make a reservation. We enjoyed Chirashizushi, Sushiregular, Aga dashi tofu, piping hot tea, sake. Service was very fast and polite. We had miso soup to start - delicious and hot. I almost always order chirashi at Japanese restaurants and this was the most generous portion I've ever gotten. It was fresh and delicious. The sushi dinner was... More

I frequent this restaurant as it's the local sushi joint. (Closest to the office) I have consistently good sushi here and the price point is reasonable based on the downtown core. The waitstaff are always friends and the service is quick. If you only have 45 min to an hour this is a great place to go. Highly recommend the... More

Went here last night on rec from hotel - great muted trendy atmosphere Small place but energetic crowd Food was delicious and service initially so fast I figured the server wanted to turn the table but after our plates were cleared we sat ... And sat... And sat as the place got busier but was still enjoyable

I had dinner at the sushi bar while staying at a nearby hotel and was quite impressed by the quality of the sushi and by the service which was very attentive. The sushi itself was simply outstanding at prices comparable to what I pay in Manhattan for lesser quality sushi. I watched the sushi chefs preparing the meals and they... More

Good selection of saki, very good sushi and sashimi served with style in a nice atmosphere in downtown Toronto. We had so many different tastes that I could not single out my favourites from last week but I would recommend this place without hesitation.

Staying in Downtown West

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
