I first visited the restaurant during Summerlicious about three years ago and decided to take my boyfriend there for our first anniversary. The atmosphere is beautiful, romantic, quaint, and charming. Service is great, and the food is just amazing. Both being somewhat of steak officiandos (we just love steak) my boyfriend claimed that Cornerhouse's steak was the best he's ever... More

Returned to Corner House for Winterlicious. My choice of menue:Beef Tatar,Stewed Venison,Belgian Chocolate Torte. I grew up eating Beef Tatar but Mr.Barnsteiner just took it to a whole different level. Unbelievable! I eat Venison wherever available-Ontario and different parts of Germany. For myself this is the BEST execution of this dish.Again-unbeliefable! I am not a fan of Chocolate-Tortes.Thats why I wanted to... More

I cannot say a bad thing about the food. It was wonderful. But the service was so bad! Not just bad, our waiter was down right rude! It was impossible to not over-hear him talking to a table of regulars how all these 'winterlicious' people come out for a cheap meal and never come back. We had our wine before... More

My friend and I dined here for winterlicious. The place looks “cozy” inside. They tried to fit a lot of tables and chairs into one small room. It’s not a very private dining experience. You can hear everyone’s conversations even if they are whispering. The WORST thing happened during dinner. My friend ordered soup for her appetizer and found a... More

A cute place with great food, but totally spoiled by the female owner/manager (??) who was very abrupt and rude. For example, she phoned our home after 10:00 on a week night to confirm the reservation. Expect to be rushed out the door. Unfortunately service has taken a back seat to the bottom line. The waiters seemed embarrassed by this... More

A small, cozy restaraunt literally on the corner of the street. Went for Winterlicious Toronto 2014. The food was fine dining at its best. For an appetizer I had a Niagara Pingue Prosciutto, for dinner, Stewed Venison Ragout Braised in Red Wine & Juniper and for dessert, a Belgian Chocolate Torte. May I point out that the torte was beyond... More

We decided to opt for three course set meal at Winterdelicious. As it was the first night we had to wait ten minutes as the restaurant was full for this even-no problem . The selection on offer was outstanding. The salads were beautifully prepared and tasted fresh The strip loin Angus beef was cooked to perfection and was the best... More

We visit Corner House regularly, either as a couple or with a group of friends. The restaurant has always provided outstanding food and service. Last night was no exception. We made reservations ahead of Winterlicious to avoid the inevitable crush and the limited menus that all restaurants use for this event. Jeff was our server and was attentive and professional... We are regulars to the Corner House. We have spent many New Year's Eve celebrations at the Corner House. This year, the service was unorganized and very slow. We likely will not go back. Outside was COLD. You have to wait in the front door, which interferes with the wait staff. Wee waited downstairs in the front doorway for 10... More

We went over holidays and had a great meal- excellent beet salad and arugula salad. Grilled calamari was tender and nicely seasoned. Delicious black cod and halibut. Rice and risotto were well done. Recommend the chocolate cheesecake in phyllo as a different take or the traditional apple streusel.
