Had a meal on thanksgiving at this establishment. Only to find a cockroach in the bathroom after dinner. Notified an employee she acted as is this was normal for the restaurant. So I notified the manager and he confirmed that there haven't been any in over A YEAR. Then he offered me a coupon to come back to eat and... More

We stumbled across this place by accident. We were greeted by very friendly staff who showed us to our booth (which was perfect because we were tired from walking around all morning). Great atmosphere in this place as well. With lots of small things to see and do (funny signs on the wall, drawing on the paper table cover etc).... More

Poor service, food very salty and overcharged on the bill. Had to get it fixed twice. Been to the Jack Astors on Dixon Rd near the Pearson Airport and the food and service was much better. Put us right off going back or trying another Jack Astors

Food was excellent. They were very busy but we were served quickly and with a smile. Lots of TV's to watch sports. I really enjoyed my experience!

This is a good place to grab after-dinner drinks in a nice atmosphere. The location on John St. works well as it is in range of several downtown establishments. I had a job candidate in town and we had eaten dinner on Queen St. He expressed interest in grabbing a beer before going back to the hotel. Not being sure... More

Jack Astor's Bar and Grill 133 John street Toronto.Went here for a meal. Three of us had meals and drinks . I have to say it's wasn't the best. One person got fish and chips no garnish nothing, fish was grey, dry, tasteless and in no way hot. Another got chicken fingers and chips, tasteless again. I had a veggie... More

But what we enjoyed the most was the Lobster & Crab Dip. Can highly recommend and will go there again (not only for the free tea and 3 free cokes we got)

Good location, cute atmosphere, especially the entertaining t-shirts! Our server, (146146 - didn't get his name but it's his ID on our receipt. He was an adorable Jamaican guy who entertained the kids with his great sense of humor and Disney references!! Food was good - burgers were REALLY good. We all had one - classic for me, WL for...
