Suited we 9 verybwell

After a day at ballgame and a pre dinner swim at the Yorkville 4 Seasons Hotel we were all hungry at 8:00 pm. Thank heavens for Jack's. It was only a quiet block away. The 5 children lined up sweetly on the red circle booth and enjoyed the kids menu: pasta and pizza. The rest of us had salads... read more

8 of us ate there after bowling next door. The food, service and atmosphere were all very good. Would definitely go back.

everybody goes there for happy hours of before a hockey or baseball game. Is always busy, sometimes hard to find a table, but the service is good, and fast.

Always a good time with friendly staff and a great lively atmosphere. Volume is right and I always feel like they want me to come back and visit them again.

I recently went for the first time to Jack Astor's with a group of people who often go there - they of course liked the food, while I found the food average. I had an ok Avocado dip, but my chicken fingers were tasteless. Also, service was quite slow. My friends will return, I will not.

A little bit of a wait as it was crowded on both patios. Chilly patio night but inside was way too hot! Always a fun place to hang-out. Our waitress was fun/cheerful/always smiling/very accommodating. Our food was timely & delish; way too stuffed for dessert but I really wanted to try the cookie/brownie (great choice). Long time friends time to... More

This is a very trend & happening bar on John Street in the Entertainment district in Toronto. Great staff - warm, professional and friendly as well as a very hip crowd makes this bar one of the funkiest I visited. It is a beautiful building with a very nice outside seating area with pretty flowers. Recommended!

We went here as a family. When we first walked in it seems like they kind of hesitated to approach us. Anyhow, they did and we requested a booth...she said hold on, let me check and see. So we waited a bit, she came back and said there is nothing available!! We asked if she was sure and what about... More

Staying in Downtown West

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
