I am a Torontonian and am amazed at the selection of restaurants that are available in downtown Toronto. I have been to Buca several times and have left each visit with an even greater appreciation for this restaurant. I will be dining at Buca, one again, at the end of this week with a group of colleagues from Vancouver, some... More

Yes it may be pricy but it is worth every penny. Starting the night off with fresh bread knots and an array of delicious cured meat all hand selected from around the world was perfect. The menu is never static but be sure to try traditional Italian dishes like dandelion salad or zucchini flowers! My favourite part is splitting a... More

The menu at Buca is not very approachable outside of the pizza choices - lots of guts, blood and brains. And it is an expensive night out. But if you are prepared for this, you can have a fabulous night. The basement seating was airy and bright on a sunny summer evening, the service was friendly and made me feel... More

We had an absolutely fantastic meal. Entrees were the blood pasta and the gnocchi with lobster. Service was nicely paced - we did not feel rushed at all. This should be on your list!

Without a doubt, this was one of the best meals my wife and I have had in a restaurant. I love to cook - I'm not a chef but it is always disappointing to go to an expensive restaurant, and then say to yourself on the way out - I could have done that better and at a fraction of... More

What a disappointment. My appetizer: cheese and salami, which was decent, but the servings were so miniscule we laughed out loud. My portion of cheese was made for a mouse! The main: veal boiled in a ziploc bag, served on a plate with milky blood. It was just terrible. My dessert: Some strange but horrible version of tiramisu. I complained,... More

I had the pleasure of going on a business lunch - walked by it 4 times before I figured out how to get in, but once there, loved the "Industrial Chic" look of the main hall. I bet it can be loud when it's packed in that main room, but has more private nice areas in the back and a... More

Enjoyed lunch on the sunny side patio tucked in a neat little alley way of King West. Very Italian from the waiters to the menu descriptions. Service was slow and we were one of few tables initially. Service improved once the patio filled up. Off the lunch menu we had a pizza and asparagus salad which were both good however... More

Lovely food in unusual location. Menu initially seemed it was trying too hard, but the food more than lived up to expectation. Not cheap but worth it.

This is a wonderful little Italian place down an alley. Great for couples or a night out with a group.
