I Went with my friend's for dinner it was monday and it was packed!!! They already sold out the sushi at 7.30pm but we got a lot of different plates to share and most of the plates that we got were really tasty. Food has Simple flavour and the waitstuff is really friendly and nice!! Good dining experience

Was in Toronto for work but met up with friends to eat here. We got in no problem but apparently it fills up quickly pretty much every night. The food is just exceptional and the atmosphere is busy and fun. Definitely try the clams!

Typical Japanese izakaya. Very good selection of exotic appetizers. Usually good music. Great opportunity to make new friends since most of the tables ale long and accommodate several companies. Overall experience is great!

Such a fun, high-energy atmosphere. Great food, perfect menu for ordering a bit of everything and sharing. Had a great time.

Practically have to yell across table to be heard. Now, that is too loud. Food is great though, as expected at a well-known downtown izakaya. Special recommendation: check out kingyo, even better. Highly recommend it.

I have been looking forward to eat at this place since I heard so much about it from friends and read the great reviews. They basically said Japanese tapas style food in a great atmosphere. Tapas typically work best in a group so we came as a group of four and sat in the "shoeless" section. I didn't notice the... More

As soon as you enter the restaurant all the waiters and cooks start yelling in Japanese. The place has a modern look and incredible ambiance. Service is fairly fast and everyone is very friendly. We tried several items from the menu and all of them were great. The music is on the loud side, so expect to only be able... More

We were very lucky because we somehow managed to get the table without reservation around the dinner time (7-10PM) just after 10 minutes of waiting. We sat outside and after one hour it started raining but we were under the roof so everything was just OK. At least it was not so hot (end of July) like it was inside... More

It's been years since we've been to Guu, mainly because in the past, they did not take reservations. Sometimes we would have to wait up to any hour in line to get in. I recently found that they take same day, on-line reservations, so we went back. Everything that I liked about Guu hasn't changed. The menu has a ton... More
