After visiting three or four Guu in Vancouver I was really intrigued by one opening in Toronto, and a bit afraid that Toronto version would not be as good as Vancouver. But no worries, Toronto Guu is as good if not better then original one. There are few other places popped up in Toronto recently named "Something Izakaya" - not... More

Fantastic! Really awesome looking place. Love the set-up/tables and the look of the place. We were greeted by a very friendly waitress! The menus had so many things we all wanted!! Several of us picked a marinated tuna over rice sort of like a chirashi looking type bowl. It was fantastic! The miso before the meal was some of the... More

I love eating Japanese food and I can honestly say this is the nicest Japanese restaurant in Toronto. The atmosphere is very close knit and warm. The food is a mix of unique and traditional.I particularly like the ''fried Camembert with blueberry sauce''.. Overall a lovely dining experience!! I now live in Australia and I really miss this restaurant! Note:... More

I 've been there many times and never get bored of it. From the warm welcome, to the huge beer, large selection of sake and wide variety of Japanese fusion dishes, the ambiance is still the best thing of this place. The food is pretty good. The plates are a little bit bigger than tapas size. I especially like the... More

I've had many Japanese food in many countries and this one is quite unique. The atmosphere is very loud and fun. The food is not the typical sushi, noodle, teriyaki or shabu shabu. The food is probably best described as fusion Japanese food. I had the honour of meeting one of the chefs (who sits on a wheelchair), which made... More

I lived in Osaka Japan for 2 years. This brought back so many memories; through tastes, types of food and overall atmosphere (loud, fun, warm)! Everything we had was exceptional; some items included the seared tuna, okonomiyaki, takoyaki, oden (fish cake, taro, tofu), stuffed oysters...giant Sapporo beer! Will definitely find our way back and recommend to friends. A little bit... More

My first time to eat in this restaurant. It is loud but FUN LOUD. Service is excellent and food is great. I had the Kinoko Bibimbap, Saba, Takoyaki, Ebimayo and finished the meal with BLACK SESAME ICE CREAM. My first time to try this ice cream and this will be added to one of my favourite flavours. Next time I... More
