Fun place, Good Mix of Pub Fare and Other Dishes

Fun atmosphere, quite busy. There is the standard pub foods you can buy, but there are other choices too for those who don't like pub food. I had a Thai stirfry, hubby had a burger and my oldest son had Chicken Parmesan. I do agree with the other reviewer that it wasn't anything extra special... read more

My boyfriend and I went here for wings on a Thursday night. We sat on the bar side because the restaurant side seemed a bit packed. When we walked into the bar side, the barman asked what game were we there to see. I said the Montreal game (sorry Torontonians!). He changed the channel, took our 2 for 1 wing... More

Good watering hole and that's it. The food sounds great on the menu, but what you actually get is pretty standard stuff, no creativity, poor plating, very low quality ingredients which seem like most of their stuff is frozen or pre-prepared off site, they obviously just have some cook in the kitchen that really doesn't give a crap about their... Nice bar, with good wait staff and ice cold beer. Friendly bartenders with a good location. Maybe a little bit pricy, but ehh it's Canada

I agree with the review by "SarahG". There are far better places to spend your money for a casual night out. Food on the menu was predictable with lots of traditional "pub fare". The food was mediocre at best, but the biggest problem was the server. She was not friendly at all and there was no attempt to be engaging.... More

Popped in for a spot of lunch into this pub. A waitress said we could sit wherever we wanted and she would be with us in a minute, she was as good as her word and brought menus and took a drinks order. I ordered the shaved beef with pub chips, I asked for the beef to be well done... More

Note this is a pub - and a good one at that. Beer, Bangers and Mash, Sheppherd's Pie, Burgers and Fries. This is a simple wholesome pub. Not fine dining, but good food. They have added the usual upscale attempts to the menu: Calamari, Mozz Sticks etc. If you want a fancier restaurant then this is not for you. Good... More

A very enjoyable pub with a good selection of beer and a friendly staff. For that, this pub is worth a stop if you are in the area. The pub grub is adequate but not as inspired as some of the others I sampled this trip.

we had our suitcases in tow as we had a hotel so far from downtown that we couldnt afford to go back and get it later before leaving town. the staff was fine with that. the owner came right over and asked where we had stayed and made recommendations for next time. we ordered our food. he came back with... Two kids meals work out to $7 each - good portion sizes for kids and nachos are crazy portion size (large) - good value good atmosphere and good location washrooms a little stinky

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
