Great place for burnch

6 of us went to Queen and Beaver for Brunch and we loved it. The staff was super friendly and the food was good. I would recommend this little pub to everyone.

Went for dinner with two friends here. There is a nice atmosphere. Took a while to get the waiting staffs attention. Food was nice, I had steak which was ok. My friend ordered a glass of wine which was undrinkable. We mentioned this to the waiting staff and they took it off the bill. Overall it was ok just not... More

I'm a frequent visitor to (my home town of) Toronto and have been meaning to visit this restaurant for some time. So glad we made it a priority last week...it was an awesome experience! It's warm and inviting, like the best English pubs, with an upscale menu of some pretty creative dishes. Our biggest conundrum was having to decide among... More

Great food and a kooky pub. Lots of sport shown - different in each room. Good service and a nice atmosphere. Great value for money.

Met a friend at The Queen and Beaver when on business in Toronto for drinks. This is a really great and friendly place. A good selection of beer and wines - recommend visiting if you can. I also hear that the food is good.

Disappointed that the kitchen does not open for the Wednesday matinee theatre crowd. Just appetizer type of food is availble, although it was good. The carpet on the staircase is very old and looks caked with grease, it needs to be replaced, as it doesn't reflect the quality of the restaurant, but sets a poor image.

I took clients here for drinks before dinner recently. We got a private room, which was much appreciated to separate us from all the conversations going on! Being old school, there are no TVs anywhere on the main floor, so people were having good old conversations with their drinks. It was great! I think they do have big screens upstairs... More

Great food, reasonably priced for the area, an overall excellent experience. Try anything on the menu, our party of 9 had all great reviews of their selection.

Went with a group of business colleagues for dinner & all of us were pleased with the service, food and beverage selection. The setting is an older house in downtown Toronto with 2 levels and an outdoor patio. The staff were all friendly and made great recommendations on the draft beers & food. There is a good selection of entrees.... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
