The combination doesn't get much better than that. The Foggy Hogtown Boys were the band the Sunday morning we were there and they did not disappoint with their excellent playing. Brunch was good, basic and plentiful fare of pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage and fresh fruit, served family style. For a big brunch and entertainment, $18 is more than reasonable. My... More

Tried to go see the Strumbellas tonight and was extremely disappointed at the way that management handled the event. We bought tickets off of two women who had been inside briefly, but could not stay due to back pain one was having, however we were rudely denied entry because 'the band had guest list' and they needed to accommodate that.... The brunch is served family style on big platters at picnic style tables so you share rather than ordering individually. Great to go in a group and even more enjoyable when everyone begins having a few pints with breakfast. The service is friendly and they will keep bringing food if you want to keep eating. The live music adds energy... More

Our friends took us here on the weekend and it was awesome!!! Luv the big plates of shared pancakes, fruit and eggs!! The music was fun too and the sound quality was amazing. At $14 it is not cheap but I guess good for a brunch with live music! Service was a little hesitant at first but friendly! Will go... More

Honestly guys ! This is an amazing place , a hidden gem in the heart of Toronto. It is not "the one Thing" that they do best. It is everything: Great Food, great beer, Music, fun People. 5 Stars and an extra "plus". The Thing that we enjoy most is that you can start your evening nice and easy, have... More

Each Sunday morning the Dakota tavern, which typically is a well attended nightspot in this city, transforms into an all you can eat delicious breakfast while a live bluegrass band performs to your enjoyment. Standup bass, dobro, mandolin, banjo, harmony and talent are showcased with the best fresh fruit salad, scrambled eggs, sausages, blueberry pancakes and home fried potatoes. Plenty of orange... More

We knew to avoid the rush brunch hour and strolled in for 1 p.m. which was perfect. The place was empty except for one other family and the band which was just fine for us. Note that there’s steps and lots of it to get down to the restaurant but there was a neat little spot for us to park... More

We went to Dakota Tavern for a "different" Friday night out, given that they boast country music and I had read a review on another site about their amazing whisky sours. We knew there would be a cover, for the live band, so we did expect that - $10 each and we were in the door, no wait, around 10:30.... More

Great little tavern that transported me back to my University days. great little band was playing, and a young crowd. Fun for a few hours, but the loud music got to be a bit much after awhile! Make sure your order drinks from the bar, no one will come to your table.
