Not Great!

This restaurant is in a great neighbourhood but the wait staff leave a lot to be desired, not attentive, had to ask for water time and time again and it was so necessary to have water in this brutally hot place. I think this a great restaurant with great food; I had the sea bass with cetrioli salad. It was delicious. Price wise, it is good reasonable and the best tiramisu in the city

We went to the Yonge St location between York Mills and Lawrence. We were there for a dinner party with 17 people. The food was very good. The gnocchi is delicious with the Gorganzola sauce, but you can have it with rose or tomato sauce instead. The eggplant parmesan appetizer is a huge portion and can be your dinner. It... More

It all started out by a phone call to the restaurant to make a reservation. no one picked up but there was a voicemail stating to leave your info for the reservation and if there was any issues, then they would call back. no phone call back at all only until I got to the restaurant that I realized they... We went to the Eglinton location because we had a discount coupon. I had read the negative reviews but assumed management had had enough time to make things right. I was wrong. When we arrived the lone server was too busy dealing with the computer to seat us. Half an hour later the manager, who was now helping out, took... More

Made a reservation for this place over the phone. Their voicemail message says to leave a message detailing the type of reservation you want, and they will only contact you if there's a problem. We tried to confirm the reservation, but kept getting their answering machine message. We showed up (to celebrate our anniversary by the way) and the place... More

We went to the Eglinton West location tried different dishes from their antipastos (selection of cheese and cured meat) to some meat and fish. We both ordered their "Linguine alla Pescatora", and we were delighted! Then loved the huge veal chop, topped with mushrooms sauce with sautee' veggies on the side. The salmon fillet was cooked to perfection: juicy and... More

We received dishes that did not come as we ordered. We had to return them repeatedly. The chicken on one pasta dish was undercooked; chicken on another pasta dish was supposed to be grilled, but it was breaded. On the same dishes ordered, quantities differed significantly. The orange sorbet dessert had the texture of ice cream, not of sorbet. We... More

I have been coming to Piazzetta Yonge/Lawrence location for more than 10 years. It was by far my favourite pizzeria if not my favourite restaurant in Toronto. I had the European vibe, small, cramped, always busy, Italian staff, and most of all, the pizzas and antipasto dishes were really good! And the owner was always there serving people and making... Staying in North End

Neighborhood Profile
North End
The North End is a nucleus of specialty food restaurants and shops, especially around its Mount Pleasant Village area. Frequented by antiquers for its numerous collectable shops, furniture spots, and oddity stores, the North End is a maverick of the quaint and quality. Vintage toy stores, accessory shops, and cinemas welcome perusers to step back in time, while the wide pedestrian squares and the large medical and business community inject it with a dose of modernity. With numerous cafes and Toronto's greatest number of independent booksellers, it isn't uncommon to see folks in this area at their leisure, reading outdoors and in eateries, and taking life a bit more slowly – even if it's only during their lunch break.
