We recently hosted a party at the restaurant for 30 people. The owners and Chef Stephane were extremely accommodating throughout the planning. Our guests loved our custom 4-course meal, many raving about the quality of the dishes (Chef Stephane's French onion soup, truffle risotto and short ribs, which were a special request, were the most complimented, but everything was delicious).... The restaurant was almost empty, and this is a real shame. Under new ownership since April, Mogette has retained its French identity and serves a very high quality of food - simple French bistro food impeccably cooked. It is all too easy to find mediocre "French" food in Toronto; the food at Mogette displays an attention to detail that is... More

When Patachou south of St. Clair closed, I began to sample chicken pot pies: the favourite of my 5 year old grandson on our Thursdays together. Sadly none fit bill. UNTIL a friend told me that Mogette had the best in the city. I called Mogette and spoke with Chef Stefan who was extremely accommodating, listening to my story. Although... More

We had eaten at Moguette frequently in the past and never had a bad meal. We went tonight and the food was just terrible. Everything was overcooked and it took forever to get our dinners. It is too bad because this used to be our go-to place. We won't be back.

As reviewed previously, I have been a frequent diner at Mogette. Last week we returned for dinner and were informed of new ownership. Although the service was polite, it was probably the worst I have encountered in memorable history. Our waiter could not speak or understand English and seemed to have no prior experience of waiting tables at all. I... More

We had read about the onion soup at Mogette and we were not disappointed. We tried 3 different apetizers and 4 different main courses. All were fantastic except one. The wine was excellent. The best part was the desert menu. You must try the flourless cake. It is amazingly delicious.

The service, knowledgeable and attentive, is the most attractive aspect of Mogette. The food is very good but not great. The soup of the day was first-rate, but the cassoulet was a bit disappointing, the duck confit being on the dry side. The dessert, Paris-Brest, was excellent. The wine, a 2011 Grenache, was full and flavourful. The others seemed happy... More

we recently celebrated my wife's birthday with the family including our two grand daughters aged 8 and 6. From start to finish the service was of the highest quality. They looked after the children and ensured that we had everything we needed. The food was superb, the special starter of zucchini tempura with Parma ham was amazing, and the other... More
