Very nice dining experience in a small, intimate space in a historic building. A small but interesting menu, well prepared with fresh ingredients. Excellent service. Would definitely go back. For us, a great relaxing meal out after a long day.

We went here for dinner before attending theater nearby. The restaurant is easy to locate and convenient to the Distillery District. I arrived before 5:30 (the time restaurant opens for dinner) and so had to sit on the restaurant steps until someone showed up - so don't arrive early. The service is attentive and efficient. I had the hamburger and... More

We popped into this restaurant this past Saturday for some dinner. I've been eyeing it for months and the reviews generally seem quite positive. I ordered the steak frites, which should come with garlic aioli (as per the menu). It didn't. I thought this was just an oversight on the part of the staff so we asked for it. I... More

We visited on a cool Tuesday night in April and were greeted, seated and made very welcome in the nicest way. Our server was quirky, informative and totally in sync with our mood. We ordered steak tartare and poutine as appetizers followed by the mac and cheese, burger and donair. Everything...absolutely everything.... arrived lukewarm to cold. Which for the tartare... More

Stopped in on a cold friday evening for dinner and were not all that pleased. We never forgot that it was cold outside as every time the door opened, cold air filled the restaurant. The door wouldn't close properly so we got up 5 times during dinner to close it ourselves to cut the draft. People were leaving as soon... More

I started writing this review, before the food arrived. I ducked in here, alone on a snowy night. Nice decor, tiny place, good atmosphere, friendly staff. Quirky little menu and i'm going to try the Down-east Donair (kebab). So far, so good. Split pea soup as appetizer: quite good, definitely some interesting spicing going on. Service not exactly speedy. But... More

Checked this restaurant out this week for the first time. We had theatre tickets at 8 at Bekeley Theatre and reserved for 6:30. I forgot to mention we needed to be out in time. I really wish I had because we didn't have a chance to savour our mains. We started with the lentil and octopus salad and the radish... More

We tend to visit Weezie's quite often- or at least whenever we have scheduled a theatre engagement at SoulPepper or Berkeley Street. Weezie's never fails to satisfy. It's a small restaurant near King and Parliament, cosy with really great food. The menu changes fairly often although many items are mainstays. On this visit we started with wonton of quail in... the best. consistent food and service for years. it is one of our favourite places for dinner. the mac and cheese is famous for good reason. the steak tartar is also divine. the menu changes slightly seasonally, but she always keeps the neighbourhood faves.
