Hidden Gem!

Found out by our friends, we didn't even think we were heading to a restaurant. In a building food court, Karine's serves up everything from vegan, gluten-free, to traditional breakfast fare. Hidden a bit but worth searching out.

Tuck inside "the Grange" by OCAD University (next to the Art Gallery of Ontario), Karines serves wonderfully prepared, fresh breakfasts with crepes, fluffy pancakes, French toasts, waffles, and "benes" - combos with fresh fruits and berries, chocolate, nutella, and surprisingly gourmet vegan side dishes like spicy tofu. It's not only the "cut above" excellent food that pleases but also the... More

This is one of the best breakfasts I've had in quite a while. The food is excellent and the staff are charming. And yay for tasty gluten-free options! Highly recommended.

We were trying to avoid a greasy breakfast and found it here. They only take cash and it's in a mall area so you don't have a server. Stuffed waffles aren't stuffed they are topped with berries. Granola with yogurt and berries was really nice.

Karine's is a small but yummy place inside The Grange food court. The staff are extremely friend, the food is delicious (all day breakfast!! And lunch food), and they have really fast service. Fresh juices also available which are very refreshing. Great for brunch or a quick cheap lunch.

I went there about 11 a.m. and searched for their place for a while because the shop decade was not that conspicuous. But the food served was fresh healthy and rich in variety. I chose pancake as the main food, some salads and eggs, no fries actually. It cost me 7.5 dollar which is some valuable. There are sugar, cinnamon... More

Healthy, inexpensive, and very pretty breakfast! These folks put together beautiful plates of tasty food with lots of fruit and veggies. They are very friendly and fast too. It’s in a food court, so ambiance isn’t the highlight, though you do get to see art students wandering by, looking earnest and cool – possibly contemplating their own plans to create... More

Visited Toronto, saw it online and tried for breakfast. For where it is I didn't expect it to be that good! Amazing stuff though. Got a large breakfast with sausage, gammon and bacon. Staff were really friendly and made excellent rapport. Thanks for the food!

My husband and I ate brunch here after doing a web search to locate nearby restaurants with vegan and vegetarian options. We loved it. My husband had the special, with vegan pancakes. He is not a vegetarian or vegan, but he found the breakfast delicious and quite filling. I had vegan crepes with bananas and berries (there are various fillings... More

Loved the vegetarian and vegan options! I had the lemonade with spinach and it taste amazing, better then it sounds! :) Ton's of fruit, rice bread is great! Service is friendly, welcoming and informative! The food court and area is a little odd but the food is delicious! Also, bring cash as they don't have a debit machine! Oh and... More
