I took my staff here for our holiday lunch this year and won't be back. The service was robotic in its efficiency but equally lacking in any feeling; I felt like we were part of an assembly line process. The food was good but not exceptional. For example, one of us had the fish tacos and was surprised that the... More

I went here with work for lunch. Thank goodness I wasn't paying. It wasn't cheap, especially considering the portion sizes. The food was good, but also felt there was limited choice (you can see the menus online). I tried the cherry coke (not the branded cherry coke, but a speciality drink made by them). It was good, worth a try.... More

This place was really busy when we visited but that didn't impact on the level of service we received - nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The food was to die for. We started by sharing a starter which was presented in two separate bowls which I thought was a lovely touch, followed by the most tender venison... More

I some what like the place but did not feel the warmth or coziness given its quite a huge space. I felt it's another typical toronto theatre district resturant with a very limited menu. Now don't get me wrong it's a good spot to have quick snack and pre theatre drinks.

Three of us dined there on a busy Saturday night. With the help of our waitress, we ordered four appetizers and two entrees, all to share and as the portions are not too large, it was the right amount of food. The food was excellent, the pacing of the dishes was perfect, allowing us the time to enjoy and savor... More

We went there before the opera. The location is great, as it is half a block across the street from the Four Seasons Performing Centre. I love their Gin fanfare menu and their cocktail list. I had their pre-theatre menu and it is excellent. It is a bit light in "volume" but I am OK. The lobster lemon grass soup... More

We also went before the opera and there were some qualities about Nota Bene which made it stand out, the prosecco was good and icy cold, the waiter was attentive. Both of us thought the appetizers were excellent, ceviche for me and tuna for my wife. I chose the stilton burger for main as I had heard it was a... More

The food might have been good, but i don't really remember, considering how upset i was with the service. I was celebrating a birthday with a party of 10. Every single one of the servers who were taking care of us were very cold, and very condescending. I think its important to note that 1. I'm a server myself 2.... More

We were taken to this restaurant for a business get together before the opera. We got there early and had a few drinks. My husband and I had not been there before and so based our picks solely on the servers recommendations. We had the mozzarella di bufala as an appetizer which was alright but we agreed that all the... More

We dined during the week at 7 PM. This meant Nota was lively when we arrived with the pre-opera crowd, then quickly quiet and nice about 30 minutes later. It then got busy again again as we were leaving. But the food was consistently great. I had the seared big eye rare tuna and my wife had the charred wild... More
