Winterlicious 2016

I really enjoy the food at Nota Bene. Whenever I go for either winterlicious or summerlicious, the menu online has supplemental dishes when you arrive at the restaurant. I really like that. Newly renovated and featuring Splendido's award winning ex chef David Lee. One of the best choices for fine dining in the city with a delicious varied menu and top notch service! Great bar and more casual bar/dinning area as well...do yourself a favour and check it out...for a business dinner, couples meal, friends get together or just pre/post drinks!

We decided that we wouldn’t be doing any Winterlicious 2016 events. All to often we have found the service to be rushed and the food offerings mediocre. Such, of course, is not the case at Nota Bene. We made the reservation without realizing that the only menu that night was the Winterlicious one. The restaurant had just reopened after a... More

Nota Bene was first on our Winterlicious list of restaurant visits this year. We picked it based on the great reviews and their offered menu. I would like to start off by saying the wait staff was amazing, very friendly and extremely professional. The atmosphere was pretty hip and the decor was very organic. There were three of us and... Wines, flavour. menu options, visual presentation, atmosphere - everything was perfection! Definitely something to check out if you are looking to spend a little more for a fantastic dining experience. Keep in mind portions are smaller but take advantage of appetizers, main course, desert and of course pair all with a great bottle of wine! Be comfortable splurging to get... More

Nota Bene is a bit of a barn of a place just opposite the Toronto Opera House. We arrived on a wet night and were welcomed warmly by attentive staff who set the excellent standard of service that we experienced throughout the meal, even though the restaurant was heaving with diners. My companion and I started with a scrumptious salad... More

Dined here with a few colleagues in early December. Started with a Cherry Crush juice, which was excellent. Also ordered a fancy ramen noodle dish and the sea bass taco salad. Finished with sticky toffee pudding. All selections were outstanding and couldn't have been better in any way. All business associates had a similar experience. Service was attentive but not... We joined some friends for a Saturday night dinner. Absolutely fantastic! Our table was ready for us upon arrival, which is a nice treat. The decor is excellent, with high end finishes, and the seating is incredibly comfortable, for a long evening. We had a number of appetizers, all were great, notably the Fogo Island salt cod. A nice selection... More

Good wine selection by the glass, had a pasta dish and burger both excellent...the truffle mayonnaise was the ultimate for a truffle fan, a little too rich for me. Our waitress forgot our appetizer and our food came in less than 10 minutes, makes you wonder how fresh it was, asked for no onions on burger, it came with..would not... More

My wife and I dined at Nota Bene for our anniversary. It could be a very good experience but unfortunately there were problems with ambience and food: - our table was too close to neighboring tables, and everyone was shouting in the restaurant. Not really Nota Bene's fault, but it really bothered use because we could not hear each others... More
