Loved the pizza and the ambience of the University Avenue location. The duck confit pizza is amazing, but there are lots of options. Service was great and very fast and overall, we really loved it.

Great gourmet style pizzeria with a hip, downtown crowd. A bit more expensive than expected. I didn't care for the entrees and we tried most of them. Good service. Better get a reservation for dinner time... it's a busy place.

This is NOT Pizza Hut. It is authentic crust with gourmet toppings cooked in a HIGH heat oven so that the crust is chewy and charred. Fold it and eat it.

I love Pizzeria Libertto's duck pizza-so delicious and consistent with taste every time I order it. The service is fast and friendly. The restaurant is clean and the chili oil is delicious. I recommend to NEVER go to Viva Napoli on 625 Mount Pleasant as the chili oil is not hygienic and there is no telling what you could find... More

On a warm, late spring Wednesday evening my wife and I went to the original Pizzeria Libretto on Ossington Ave.. We went kind of early because this place is always busy and when we arrived at around 6:45 we had no trouble getting seated. When we sat down, I glanced at the couple sitting at the next table and it... More

And so the search for Canada's best wood burning oven pizza continues... Definitely a great pizza! I'd recommend having it there rather than doing take out. The flavor just doesn't hold after you've brought it home. The food was tasty and especially the garlic cloves add a distinctive taste! The service was a little slow to start off with but... More

We showed up without reservations. Staff was able to accommodate us after a short wait. Service was great. The food was amazing. We had appetizers and 3 pizzas. Calamari, fried knochi, arrancini were awesome. Pizza is the closest to Napolitan pizza that we've found in Toronto. Can't wait to go back!

Lunching at Pizzeria Libretto was awesome. The food was amazing! I ordered from the fixed priced menu which consisted of a beet salad caprese salad, a margherita pizza and a gelato for dessert. The entire meal cost $15 and was delicoso! It reminded me of my recent trip to Rome. The service was efficient although our server seemed to be... More

The place was crowded and we naturally assumed the food was delicious. We each ordered a pizza dish and they weren't cheap. However if the food is delicious, I don't mind the price at all. Plus it is wooded oven as it is a perfect way to cook your pizza. Finally the pizza arrived and it was surprisingly sloppy. I... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
