This is a place we regularly frequent. 9 times out of 10 it hits the mark. Busy atmosphere, tasty food. Quirky wait staff that can be inconsistent, especially not paying attention on multiple occasions when we were clearly finished and waiting for our table to be cleared and our bill, but generally a place worth supporting with worthy pizzas

The Ossington branch is just below Dundas St. in a rapidly gentrifying area. We were a party of four for lunch, and most of us had the three-course prix fixe, which is good value. The beet salad with the addition of buffalo mozzarella was good. The pizzas probably are "authentically" Neapolitan, but they are not quite up to North American... More

The pizza/menu selection was small but the food was delicious. The service was great. The atmosphere was very clean and modern. Loved it!!

Pizza should start off with a crust dough not a soggy pizza. Pizzaville pizza is better than this. Save your money and go elsewhere. Service was good, pizza was simply awful, chef should take a trip to Naples to see how pizza should be made.

After hearing about this restaurant while on a pizza tour in NYC, we decided to drop in for lunch at the University Ave location while attended nag a conference in downtown Toronto. Both the crust and the ingredients used made this one of the best pizzas we had ever eaten. I'm still probably best to make a reservation, but we... More

Went to the Lower Ossington theatre with 6 of my girlfriends and we had been looking for a place to go to for dinner afterwards. I had called earlier in the week to try and make reservations but they don't take any there. However they said if we came around 5ish we should be fine to get a table for... More

Food is excellent including all types of pizza and appetizers! Service was prompt and attentive despite the restaurant being super busy that day.

I generally like the place but went there on a not so busy afternoon. Asked to be served as no waitress showed up for 15 minutes after being seated. Waited 45 minutes for the cold appetizer to come. No luck. No waitress in sight. Followed up and told it was coming. 15 minutes later still no food. Almost 1 hour... More

A late weekend dinner, unsure if reservations are taken (called in 15 min prior and told that seating should be available, nothing definitive) we did find plenty of seating as well as plenty of noise (difficult to carry a conversation) the service was so, so (we learned about the specials only when they were offered to a nearby table, long... Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
