Mom and Pop restaurant

This great little Thai place serving up some traditional Thai food. Grandma and grandpa are in the back cooking for you and take your order in broken English. Very friendly and tasty food. Local favourite.

I only speak as a take-out experience. I always get the chicken Pad Thai and my girlfriend the vegetables curry. There is so much food that I always have enough for 2 whole meals (and I am not a small eater). The food is tasty, meat is good, everything is fresh. The owner is very friendly and polite, you really... More

Just one of those places that delivers solid ethnic (in this case Thai) food at a reasonable price. Baan Thai is great for take out. If you have a "level of spice" that you prefer, they can accommodate. I get take out here often, and it is always delicious.

Authentic family run restaurant with great Thai and some other Asian fusion dishes. Very reasonably priced but the decor is slightly outdated.

Storefront decor looks a bit shopworn, but don't let that put you off. The food here is very good and portions are quite generous. Considerably cheaper than the Thai places in Bloor Village West. Service is solicitous and very friendly.

Staying in West End

Neighborhood Profile
West End
The go-to area for new business start-ups, the spry and creative persona of the West End thrives along its streets. Its independent boutiques, galleries, restaurants, and shops offer brands that can't be found elsewhere. Buildings with ground floor consumer spaces sport up-top artist's lofts, and the West End attracts artists, designers, and fashion industry professionals to its living quarters. It is in the cross-hairs of gentrification, but still resisting it with ironic relish. Hot deals can still be found here on furniture and knick-knacks,. Its call to culinary glory is in its well-priced homemade Polish food, hosting Toronto's go-to spots for hot pierogis and cold borscht. High Park, the largest green space in the city, is a place for dreamers and poets to wander and rest, not to mention a number of energetic actors staging outdoor plays in the summertime.
