King Street West's chicest bistro-bar, Spice Route, is Liberty and Ink's most recent undertaking. Impressive in scope, marvelously detailed, laced with drama; the Spice Route pays homage to a phenomemon shrouded in mystery. The experience at Spice Route is sheer bliss. From the moment one enters, the design is relaxing and indulging. The mixture of eclectic Asian decor, mesmerizing music, and distinctive cuisine is the soul of this spot. Rare and immediately captivating, yet subdued in style, meticulous in service yet unpretentious, refined in its culinary approach while offering something to satisfy everyone.

Always great!

I came here to celebrate my birthday and they didn't disappoint. Great sharing menu and service!! Sorry to see the view from the washrooms has been reduced...always a conversation piece. Took my family there to see the top rated washroom design people talk about!

My husband and I enjoyed the decor as well as the meal. We started with vegetable pakoras. I had the peking duck, and my husband had the prawn curry claypot. Both meals were delicious. My husband asked that the curry be made a little spicier, and they came through. The service was very good. It was very busy after 7pm,... More

This has to be one of the best venues on King Street West. The decor is fantastic, their booths are located along a wall and almost enjoy a semi private ambiance, and the have a private room (The Red Room) for private parties. We ended up booking the Red Room for a graduation party and we loved it! You have... More

First thing is first absolutely stunning decor ! What a beautiful restaurant that i presume becomes more a lounge at night ( when we came at least). This is place is huge, the moment you come in the ceiling is so high up, and so many tables and a bar in the middle. This definitely has a lounge/club layout but... More

Looks the real deal when you walk in although a bit cold and draughty in places. But I like the feel of the room and the lighting but the food was disappointing. I had hoped for spice and chilli heat. We got neither. Curry prawns were bland watered down. Satays were cold and the sauces bland again. Dumplings and sushi... More

Spice Route could be so great. It really could. This is the era of Asian-inspired cuisine and drinks (see Susur Lee's immense Toronto success, and places like Angel's Share in Manhattan and Bo Innovation in Hong Kong). But Spice Route is trying to be far too many things. The menu appears to be drawing from the sub-continent, the Pacific islands,... More

Over priced and over rated! I came here with some friends for our Christmas dinner. We had heard great things about this place from others. We were expecting great things. Other than the decor, the whole experience was crap. They tried to sit 12 of us in a booth that probably should have had no more than 8 people. We... More

Food is flavourless & over priced. Ambience is too dark and the music too loud; so you can barely talk to your friends or even see the menu. The crowd are pretentious snobs. The wait staff look like they hate their jobs and are irritated. Don't waste your time going here, esp when there are so many other places to... More

The food is okay, comparable to any cheap Chinese / Thai restaurant. The drinks were watered down so much that I was in total disbelief. I tried asking for vodka shots after my group all noticed our mixed drinks we weak, and I found out they actually mix water into the bottles to squeeze every last penny they can out... More

I love the vibe in Spice Route! This seems to be a very popular place amongst the after work crowd. The service was good. The appetizers were okay. I ordered the whole red snapper, which was excellent! My mojito was decent! Next time, if I come here, I would just order drinks and hang out.
