Loukoumades a must

Amazing Greek bakery with all items peanut free. Frappedes are a must, metrio with gala is really good. Loukoumades a must, with the bougasta a close second. Danforth location very busy. Victoria Park location not very busy. They also have locations in East York and at the beaches.

Great deserts. You can't beat the loukoumades ( honey balls)or the galaktoboureko( custard pie). Great atmosphere.

My friends and I often end up at Athens Pastries on the Danforth after a dinner at one of the nearby restaurants. Our favourites - Spanakopita - the spinach pie, the Loukoumades - honey puffs and the Galatkoboureko - the custard pie. Yummy. The slices of all the pies are big enough to be shared by two people and you'll... More

They serve food Very different than what I'm used to but they taste great. One concern is that I think the address given on this site may be incorrect, check with other listings before you make the trip.

Even though I don't live here anymore, I still come here for two things: spanakopita and loukoumades. I normally don’t go for filo pastries as I have often been disappointed with soggy, oily pastries. Spanakopita here is different. It’s crunchy on the outside and packed with a savory filling of mostly spinach with the right amount of feta cheese. It... More

The galaktoboureko and loukoumades here are delicious if you're in the mood for the sweet stuff. The tiropita and spanakopita are awesome if you're in the savoury mood. Great fresh coffee. Reasonable prices. Friendly staff. Great place to relax after having a nice lunch or dinner on the Danforth to enjoy some coffee and/or dessert.

We stopped here (after dinner somewhere nearby) for some pastries & coffee. Lots of people just hangin' out. Good spot.

I used to eat here often decades ago when I worked in the area. Little has changed and that is good. The price point is very reasonable and nobody would feel overcharged here. The menu is short and tight, all Greek specialties. I favour the spanakopita coz its just right for a quick bite or brief lunch. There are few... More

Went here to try the loukoumades. The first night, they had run out so figured they must be good. Went earlier in the day the next time when they were still available. They are different in that they are made, dipped in honey, and then left to sit out. That means most of the honey has already been absorbed by... More

Staying in East End

Neighborhood Profile
East End
The East End is an eclectic amalgamation of areas that team up to make this district one of the most multi-faceted and alluring. Home to Toronto's LGBT community hub, Gay Village is alive and pumping day or night with friendly bars, nightclubs, and cafes – its thumb is on the pulse of excitement. For a more relaxed day, the East End has the largest collection of restored Victorian homes, and its stately streets, tree-lined and bursting at the seams with affluence, often sport farmers markets and street artists, epitomized by the effusive St. Lawrence Market. One of the most gorgeous of Toronto's neighborhoods, it also straddles Lake Ontario in an area called The Beach, where you'll find folks cycling and strolling along the sandy shorelines, getting some sun or enjoying shopping, dining, and pub options. For some fabulous food, the vivacious personalities running the restaurants in the East End's Greektown is only equaled by the fun and authenticity of the street stalls and restaurants at its expansive Indian Bazaar. 'Something for everyone' has never been so accurate.
