You know Spring is finally here.....

....when you're sitting on the patio at the Sidewalk, enjoying the first gelato of the season! Never fails to delight! This time, we both chose an over the top delicious and decadent waffle with fancy toppings and the wonderful gelato. Heaven for only $8.95! There are many other sumptous ice... read more

I have been going here for years and the service is still horrible. The coffees aren't that great, the desserts are ok, the crepes are decent. I go for the strawberry crepes. Delicious! The ice cream served with it is pretty nasty though. Other than that, it has a really nice patio and it's a great hangout. Just don't expect... More

Went here with my friends many years ago but didn't really make an impression othern than the breezy patio. Since we were in the area, decided to treat my kids to gelato and coffee for myself. Knowing its Italian, I expected a good, robust cup of coffee to go with the gelato we ordered. However, upon asking what type of... More

A superior espresso with a good canoli. The place is very busy serving sophisticated ice creams and gelato.

After an awesome dinner at Vivoli we always stop for espresso, cappuccino and cannoli. This place does em up old school. A little raspberry Tartufo on the side if there's room, or skip that whole idea and SHARE one of their AMAZING waffle creations, THEY ARE NUTS............

nice little spot with outdoor seating on College Street. Had cannolli and espresso. Later had some grappa too !! Was feeling no pain when we all left. Very good service. Good neighborhood joint that I would go back to.

Sicilian Sidewalk Cafe had been around for over 50 years and we have been there as far back as year 2000, later bringing our grand kids ever since, all these years enjoying Ice Cream, available in lots of flavours. My favourite flavour had been, always, Pistachio and Hazelnut, with or without waffle. Being in predominantly Italian neighbourhood of Toronto, it... More

This is a perfect place to while away an afternoon or night in a very relaxed and friendly environment. Tiramisu is to die for, so are the canolis.

The cannoli shells are not piped with ricotta cream until you order them. Crunchy and huge, you'll only need one with your cappuccino.

Staying in Little Italy

Neighborhood Profile
Little Italy
Toronto's Little Italy is a city hotspot for cafe culture and nightlife. There's something for everyone in Little Italy, apparent from the cross-section of clubbers in glitzy dresses, and elderly couples arm-in-arm heading to their favorite wine or pasta spot. Cafes spill onto the wide sidewalks, pool lounges and bars are always teeming with noise and activity, and both outdoor and indoor marketplaces are packed with fresh fish, cured meats, and pungent cheeses. All of the activity makes it a perfect spot for people-watching, especially over a nice glass of red wine or a quick and sumptuous slice of pizza at one of the many eateries or trattorias in the area.
