November 21st was my grandson's birthday and my daughter booked us for dinner at The Windsor Arms main restaurant to celebrate. When calling to book she explained that it was her son 's ( Oliver) birthday and that after our main course she would like to have a birthday desert platter for the table saying "Happy Birthday"- no worries she... Don't know if this counts as a review of the restaurant but it's a special event, a wedding at the Windsor Arms Hotel. We went with high expectations and was terribly disappointed by the meal and the service. The set dinner included a salad with a small cup of zucchini soup which tasted "blaeeh". But the most nasty surprise was... More

We went here on my parents 50th anniversary and for our 25th anniversary (which was 4 days earlier). We had an awful experience from every perspective. Right from the start, we could see disorganization and lack of structure. Even though we had a reservation for 6 people, and all came in together, the hostess walks us to a table for... More

THE MOST HORRIBLE DINING EXPERIENCE. Fast food joints have 100x way better service than the restaurant at the Windsor arms. To start, the hotel concierge interrupted me while I was trying to talk to the maitre'd for no important reason. Then we were seated and it took about 10 mins to get anyone's attention to get some water and answer... More

Our prix fixe dinner for two, a Groupon offer, left us wondering why anyone would return. After cracking my brain, I've come up with three reasons why The Living Room (formerly Prime) might be your spot: * You're so enamoured of big kitschy decor (gilt mirrors, loud prints), you can't tear yourself away. You'll wait for everything here--drinks, food, the... More

Food was very good, but service was terrible. We did not order drinks. Other tables that ordered wine got service faster and more attentively than our table so we assume that was the reason for the poor service received

I have been to the Windsor Arms for tea several times and always had a really good experience. I have wanted to try Prime as I am a vegetarian and their vegan menu looks delicious. What a big disappointment. I went with 2 friends. We had a reservation for 6:30. Our waiter FINALLY took our order at 7:30. After another... More

This was a first-time visit to the Windsor Arms Hotel and its steakhouse - it will be my last. To be fair, I did go with a Groupon coupon for a fixe-prix meal, so my choice was limited, but I knew that ahead of time and had reviewed the menu options which sounded wonderful. Note that the Prime Restaurant is... More

After reading reviews here on tripadvisor, i was somewhat hesitant to buy a groupon special $69 for 2 prix fixe dinners at Prime. However, i was very impressed with our dinner. There is a selection of appetizers, main course and dessert. I shared the soup (tomato and crab puree) and salad (kale with balsamic and olive oil) with my dining... More

Prime....is it a little past its prime?? We had dinner there the other night with friends to celebrate a Birthday. It was sub-standard. The food was overcooked, over sauced, over priced. The staff were curt and not friendly. It is sad as I loved the Windsor Arms growing up and had many fond memories there. Now, I would not go... More
