Berry good dessert

We discovered this little patisserie just near the Dupont Subway Station. Very clean, with an indoor area for seating, and a very large range of sweet treats to temp you. We chose a Berry Tort to take home for our dinner, out of a selection of Chocolate Cheesecake or Lemon Tort. This proved to be a... read more

Sigh. What can I even say about Frangipane - my favourite destination for special event cakes and any one of their numerous scrumptious tarts. Although they are expensive, the price is without a doubt justified - and also paired with absolutely fantastic customer service. Claudia knows exactly what flavour combinations and designs to use, and I trust her completely with... More

This is fantastic pastry shop and a gem in Toronto's lovely Annex neighbourhood. Take a stroll along beautiful Madison Avenue and enjoy some of Frangipane's famous tarts, chocolate treats, cookies, and other pastries. The fruit tarts, in particular, are excellent. I also highly recommend the petit fours, the sour cherry squares, and the ginger molasses cookies. They also have great... More

We discovered this little place 2 years ago. We like to drop in and purchase a few items then cut them in half and devour them in the car! The lemon tarts are fantastic, as is the pecan tarts. We've tried just about everything and although we each have our preferences, you can't fault them on flavour or presentation. They... More

Wonderful little pastry shop were you can get a variety of tarts (not just frangipane made with almond filling) and other pastries. They are all so fresh, delicious and hand-crafted to perfection.

Not only does the place over price EVERYTHING!!! But the service you would expect is not there... We tried it a few time (because it looks good) but we were disappointed over and over again. Would never go there again. Worst service I have ever experienced...

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
