Best soft serve, good food too. Has been around FOREVER!! Summer must-visit in Thunder Bay. Twin soft-serve cone is great, really good butterscotch sundae too.

Hi. I first had their chicken sandwich in 1975. I love it. We went today for the first time this season. I'm not sure if they've changed the supplier, but the chicken burger seemed to be of poor quality. Both my husband & I threw away some of the french fries. We used to like them. Today they didn't taste... More

Thunder Bay is not the place for good meat I guess. I don't know what their burger patties are made from, but it's not 100% beef, that's for sure. The ultimate burger came fresh and hot. The bun was great but we threw away the meat after a couple of bites, yuck. Thankfully the fries were perfect and the milk... More

It's on Memorial Drive and constantly busy. But worth the wait, the shakes were creamy and my cheeseburger heavenly! Exactly what was needed after a long day of driving and exploring.

New hard ice cream has ground persians in it. Does it get better than homemade ice cream on a hot summer's day? Have heard the gelato is also fantastic.

Not bad but not great. I love the root beer milkshake but their banana split is a disappointment and a tastier one can be found at Dairy Queen.

Like many Thunder Bayites, I have always enjoyed stopping by the Merla-Mae for an ice cream or more substantial snack. Back when I was a poor student, I would save up my money for an ice cream cone, and they kept taking a lower amount from me even though they had raised prices for about three months. You don't forget... More

Pricy and nothing special...pity there isn't more competition in town. People don't know what they're missing. A good homemade gelato place would beat it, hands down.

Terrible Service, would not go back after we have been going for over 45 years -- staff were not trained properly, ice cream melting and did not receive correct order -- basically had to take something because they would not give us our money back -- drove down the street and threw it out -- went to Dairy Queen --...
