We visited the beautiful city of Stratford, Ontario and attended a Shakesparean play there. What a elegant way to top off a grand show with succulent items from the dinner menu at The Parlour. Succulent roast beef and potatoes, colourful veggies and mile-high carrot cake with caramel topping. The rich polished decor of fhe diningroom, the waiter was both professional... More

Due to circumstances, we were late coming in for lunch. As we were staying at The Parlour Inn, arriving late, we popped in for lunch at 2:45 after the lunch crowd had left. The server was tidying up tables but greeted us well. We relaxed with a glass of wine and then chose our lunch. It was the roasted mushroom ravioli... More

Excellent food, great service and wonderful setting. Convenient too. I recommend the Pavlova for dessert. I always leave room for it.

Now a member of the Historic Inns,The Parlour is getting some changes and it is great. Still not keen on the breakfast though.

We've eaten here several times, and I remember the dinners as being good -- maybe not outstanding, but very good. BUT the Pavlova dessert is to die for. About 4 inches tall of fluffy meringue, with a crunchy/chewy outer layer, topped by another 2 inches of whipped cream, topped with toasted almonds - and served over 2 kinds of delicious... More

The Parlour has been around a long time and deservedly so. The food is usually very good, it is well located, usually has very good and pleasant wait staff. This time around my wife had an excellent beet salad but her fish and chips was sub par. I had a saute'ed rainbow trout which came with an outstanding lentil stew.

I am the type of person to give everyone a second chance. So after my first experience at the Parlour was awful, from the lack of service (food was good) I thought one more chance! So at the end of our holiday stay in Stratford we would go back. Same unorganized service. You could tell that there wasn't enough staff... More

The owner of our B&B recommended this restaurant and it was an excellent choice. It is located in the Parlour Inn. The Prime Rib was delicious and came with mashed potatoes and camelized carrots. The pasta dish was also delicious. The crab cake was only so-so, but the soup of the day was great. We would recommend this restaurant to... More

The Parlour always strikes me as having surprisingly good food simply because it is in a setting where one wouldn't expect anything beyond "garden-variety" - so, even though I KNOW it's always really, really good, I'm still a bit surprised. The menu is creative without being "tricky" or overdone or self-conscious and it unashamedly offers the tried and true "basics"... More
