An excellent restaurant for breakfast and lunch. The service was fast and the food was plentiful and delicious. The group of 22 were fed well and out the door within an hour.

First time there this past Sunday, won't be the last. Really yummy breakfast with home made sausages. The prices are fantastic. We picked up 6 of their huge homemade tarts.....can you apple cheddar bacon! :-D I had ordered the special, asparagus swiss cheese omelette with hollandaise.

Okay, so you have to know going in, it's a diner - with diner food and a "throw back" diner at that. I was finally able to experience Madelyns on Wednesday just after 1:00, on a trip from London to K-W. First, I love the diner ambience . .and 50's-60's at that. Preferring my main meal of the day to... More

In a city that can lean to pretentiousness Madelyn’s is a breath of fresh air. What it does it does very well. Service is fast and friendly, food is good quality and good value. And the butter tarts are some of the best I have ever had.

On a Saturday evening, we wandered into Madelyn's. After standing at the doorway for a couple of minutes, a local man at the bar, said - just seat your selves, there's probably room in the back. This should have been our first clue. No service for newbies! We awaiting a menu, even wondering if they saw us come in. Meanwhile... More

Had heard good reports and while in town on business, a co-worker and I tried it for lunch. Service was almost non-existent, food was a long time in coming and was honestly not in the least impressed and nor was my co-worker. It may have been a bad day but you really have to do a lot for me to... More

Madelyn's is known for its "fish and chips." I would add to that "fish and onion rings"! We arrived in the midst of noon rush hour and we found a little table and then waited for service. They were incredibly busy but when our server was able to take our order, we were very surprised to have our food in... More

I have tried this diner a few times over the years and have given them several chances to impress me. I have just finished my final round of chance. Two orders of club house sandwiches/fries to go.. The one order was not completed as ordered, and the other one the fries were like half cooked. They are out of chances,... More

We first visited Madelyn's some years ago and we continue to visit since . It is a real local eatery - great value and tasty food. We are stuck on ordering the fish and chips. It is not greasy and the fish is perfectly done each time, the chips use real potatoes (no doubt grown locally) and each plate has... More

We enjoyed an early dinner at Madelyn's before going to the Stratford Festival theatre. It's clearly a local favorite. We appreciated the prompt, friendly service and we liked the delicious smoked pork chop, grilled to perfection. The menu features Canadian specialties and locally sourced meats and produce. They make delicious butter tarts featuring seasonal fruit (apple, peach, rhubarb, etc.). Visitors... More
