My hubby and I attended a dinner that was done in conjunction with the Stratford Chef School. The guest chef, Ryan Crawford, graduated from S.C.S. in '99, and had a student chef from the school, Sera Carther, prepare the meal with him. Everything from the bouche muse, to the dessert was fabulous. They even gave a take home jar of... More

We had an opportunity to visit this unique restaurant in July! The selection and quality of the meal was incredible! The location is quaint and beautiful! The wine selection was wonderful and mostly VQA choices. It is defiately somewhere I would like to visit again!

The Prune presents a very ambitious menu, which would be difficult to satisfy at the very best restaurants, and certainly not in Stratford! What pretense. Portions were small, presentation lacking, service mediocre, prices exhorbitant and food boring.

We should have know it was not going to be a good experience when we were seated at a table jammed in to a corner with the restaurant practically empty. We thought well, with the heavy rain perhaps the other diners were just late. Not the case- only 4 tables occupied while we were there. From uninspiring cuisine,my wife ordered... More

A couple of years ago we had one of our worst dinners ever at a fine dining restaurant when we ate here - ignored for twenty min., red wine poured into used white wine glasses, poorly prepared bland food, cold coffee. We knew that the owners of the Stratford Best Western had bought the place and decided to go back.... More

We go to the Stratford Festival every year. The Prune is our must do restaurant in Stratford. Beautiful atmosphere and very creative food. We try new places each year but the Prune is by far our favorite.

We took guests out for dinner to this establishment hoping we would have a pleasant dining experience. Our table was not ready upon arrival and it was suggested thatwe wait in the garden. The following meal was a disappointment. The servings were small and not memorable. The rhubarb crisp dessert was oddly presented and not tasty at all. The wait... More

If we are to be regulars at any restaurant, it must meet our standards in three areas, namely, food, service and location. The Prune satisfies all three very well. The food is of the highest quality and, on our most recent visit, the Asian-influenced, prix fixe menu was outstanding. The servers are efficient and attentive and the maître d’, Peter,... More

Angry with myself for not speaking up and pointing out what a joke their poorly prepared and served meal was. Three of the worst courses I've ever had put before me. Not wanting to embarrass my spouse I held my tongue. I left the restaurant still very unhappy hungry angry and one hundred and eighty dollars lighter. ( could have... More

I really disliked my meal. Here’s why. Imagine my surprise when, after eating one and half of four ravioli, I discovered that they were supposed to be hot, not ice cold. Oops. Pre-made. Microwaved? Although I ordered lamb shank, if I had tasted it with my eyes closed, I would not have been able to discern its identity. The potatoes... More
