No river views or fancy decor, but one of the best dinners we have ever encountered in Stratford. We came back for lunch the next day to see if this was an accident: it wasn't. No complaints: prompt service, fine food, great menu. We will be back.

We enjoyed dinner after the pre-theater rush so can't comment on what the "busy" time is like. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals..the beef tenderloin and the liver entree were prepared to perfection.

June 14. Arrived on time for a reserved table and were placed in a cramped two seater table. Sort of a corner/wall. I asked if we could move and were told 'No'. We both ordered the Filet as it was a very limited menu. Rarely eat beef so thought I should be able to get a decent medium rare tenderloin... More

We ate out side on a lovely evening. We had theater tickets that evening and the service was very prompt without any sense that we were being rushed. Both of our meals were outstanding and were presented with unique and delicious ingredients.

While my wife and I visit Stratford annually for a few days of theatre, this was our first meal at this restaurant. We were impressed. We arrived on a sunny evening but no one was sitting outdoors in the alley but on our request we were warmly invited to do so. The service was excellent and the choices on the... More

Whether it be lunch or dinner, as a local, this is my favourite. Close to the Avon Theatre for those catching a show. My favourite meal there is Friday lunch special...haddock with half and half chips and salad. Yummy!

The menu was limited - the waitress told us it was new.they have daily specials and a small menu - you can always find something to order - but a little more selection would be good.

The menu seems dated, to go along with the stuffy interior and awkward, overly formal servers. The food, however old school and dated, is quiet good, and expertly cooked. Clearly some talent in the kitchen. But i did not find the best value for the meal/service. I imagine this restaurant is very popular with an older generation, but does not... More

We went with & on the recommendation of good friends. Arrived just after 1pm on a Friday. The bistro was packed but we had reservations. Service was tardy to start but somewhat more attentive as the meal when on. I do not recall server asking if everything was OK. My pan seared salmon dish had a generous portion of fish... More
