Love the sandwiches very fresh and the staff is awesome! Great place to grab and go. You can eat in or get to go. We have done both.
We stopped at the York Street kitchen while in Stratford to see a play at the Festival. The soup and sandwiches we had were really delicious and the service was friendly and attentive. The place is small, so there is limited seating capacity, but if you can get in, it's worth it.
Super place for a fresh sandwich designed by you, great choice of breads and toppings. I have only tried take out and on all occasions service prompt and friendly. Sandwich excellent all fresh, whenever I am in Stratford i always stop here for lunch.
Despite its move to Erie Street, the York Street Kitchen has an excellent choice of sandwiches. Situated near the picnic benches along the Avon, it offers a great option for a light meal outdoors before an evening performance.
The sandwiches are delicious here. However, service is pretty slow so you may not wish to go here if you have time restraints. Otherwise, there is a nice little patio to enjoy.
York Street Kitchen is a great place for lunch. You can take out or eat in. The inside is dining area is small but adequate. The food is the main attraction. All the preparations are well done. I would recommend the roasted pepper goat cheese sandwich on delicious white bread.
Great little place to eat at! Food was excellent! Sandwich and soup was amazing build your own. Little squishy but it adds to the character of the place!
I used to love this place but service and food quality have both dropped. Too bad but when you write your own order and they still don't get it correct, make you wait 20 minutes for a takeout sandwhich and provide a sandwhich that tastes 50% as good as it did 2 years ago then ownership needs to look hard... FIrst, a housekeeping matter: The York Street Kitchen is no longer on York Street, but has moved about 200 feet into the center of town at 24 ERIE ST. It's right next to Boomer's Fries. We've always liked the York Street Kitchen. Both before and now it is a smaller restaurant decorated somewhere between a real life 50's diner and... More
Build your own sandwich with many different options to choose from. The staff was super friendly and attentive. The only ding on the place is that it was a very expensive lunch for the amount of food that we got. We had two sandwiches, two pop and a side of potato salad (very small bowl) and it cost us $30....
