We visited the County Food Company on Saturday, August 22, 2014, for an early lunch. The food is fresh and nicely presented. My daughter had the Vegan Summer Dream sandwich (hummus, artichokes, veggies, etc.) on a calabrese bun and I had the egg salad on sour dough. The bun and bread were super fresh. We also had red-skinned potato salad... More

We always check that the County Food Company is still operating when we plan our trip. The food is superb - poached salmon is a favourite, but there's are also meat choices. And the salads get better every year. Take you picnic hamper and fill up with food from here. Head for the tables by the lake, or for Tom... More

this is a funky little place where you just feel the food will be good. the garden in the sidewalk in front of the store sets the stage for the wholesome goodness you can taste in the food! we had hearty sandwiches and interesting salads, that they will pack up into a picnic bucket for you as well! very fun!

Stratford is a tourist destination, but a tourist destination with pretensions, in my opinion. Finding a place to eat offering good value has been an ongoing challenge for us in Stratford for years. There are a couple of very nice places to eat, for which you do pay a premium, and we are happy to do so. We don't always... More

We were looking for a light meal before going to an evening show, and this place delivered. We had delicious fresh sandwiches, and very tasty salads. It's a lot like the neighborhood restaurants we've been to in parts of Europe.

Stratford is a unique theatre town, and also home to some of the continent's most pretentious and ridiculously overpriced restaurants. The County Food Company is a casual alternative that offers sophisticated home-made fare, a casual atmosphere, exceptional and friendly service, and reasonable prices. Beer lovers will find a great selection of local brews, and wine is also available. The County's... More

My husband and I dined here for lunch before an afternoon play. This venue would be good for family and friends too. The owner was amazing as she explained her foods and our choices. The food was incredibly fresh. Prices excellent. Atmosphere was quaint, friendly and unrushed. Clearly a popular choice for locals and visitors. It can get quite busy... More

This is an outstanding addition to Stratford's many reasonably priced casual options. The various homemade meat pies, salads and sandwiches we tried were all excellent, and the staff were fun and friendly. One teeny quibble: my meat pie seemed like it had been microwaved, which isn't good for pastry. If they could get a quick-heat oven of some kind, the... More

The hidden gem of Stratford. Everything was about the best you could get. The food was amazing, and to say that is something am youngest is very picky and she ate everything. All the food is fresh, hand-made and if you don't see it just ask and you will get it. They asked what my daughter (11 years old) what... More
