You have many choices of restaurants when in Stratford! We find ourselves returning to Foster's Inn restaurant every time. We had lunch and dinner on our recent two night visit. Both meals were very pleasant experiences, appreciated more, as the restaurant was at capacity for both visits. Be sure to reserve a table ahead of time, enjoy the diverse menu,... More

Four of us were at Foster's a couple nights ago, before going to the Avon. The steak which one of my dinner companions ordered came rather under-cooked. OK, it happens. She sent it back, asking that it be cooked a bit more. The waitress was fine with that, and, after a short time, the steak came back, with some sauce.... More

We enjoyed dinner before catching a show at Avon Theater. Decor was very nice. Staff attentive. Teresa had Korean beef cheek tacos and a Caesar salad and I had the lamb curry. The two little tacos would not be considered a appetizer at other restaurants. The caesar salad was boring. The lamb curry was not a treat at all. It... More

I went here tonight (July 12,2014) with my partner. We made dinner reservations and were a little early and they say us right away. The menu was not very big, and quite over priced, in my opinion. I ordered crispy calamari and a steak, rare. My partner ordered bruschetta, and supreme roasted chicken. The appetizers were great, very delicious and... More

One of the most places with innovative breakfast. It was just great, that they have other breakfast ideas that you don't see in any other breakfast menu of other restaurants. Good food and good service.

Had a reservation for 2 before a play at the Avon Theater. Great location They were not busy early, but we were seated next to a partition near the kitchen. No pleasant view here, and felt clostrophobic. Should have asked for another table, but did not want to be difficult. Both ordered the $18 hamburger. Honestly can say we have... More

If you're coming from Toronto or Detroit with the Stratford bus, Foster's is just a few steps from the Avon theatre stop, and a short walk from the other two theatres. I was there on Sunday for the matinee, so I had their brunch. Spicy Caesar was meh. Huevos Rancheros were not real rancheros -- more home fries than anything... More

So close to the Avon Theatre where we could sit outside & enjoy a delicious lunch prior to the performance!

Not much of a heading, I know, but I don't have much to say. We stopped in for supper after a play. There was nothing offensive, nothing great. The pub-like atmosphere was pleasant. Service was fine and not slow - but they weren't that busy. Between us, we had a lovely shrimp-encrusted salmon fillet with asparagus and potatoes; it was... More

We had a quick pre-theatre lunch. The food was ok, not blow ya away but good. Avoid the PEI mussels, they're were super small and not that well prepared - not fresh. The Cesar salad with seared salmon was fine - kind of ordinary food overall. Service was fine - not super friendly but not unfriendly - kind of bland... More
