We love Downie Street Burger! The staff and owners are excellent! The food is fresh, I can pick my toppings, or they have a daily special, the fries are excellent & the onion rings even better. They have Okanagan on tap, and a selection of bottles. Good food is worth the wait.

I would like to give this restaurant a higher rating due to the friendliness of their staff. All were very nice and accommodating. Unfortunately, the food simply doesn't stack up. We had three in our party, and all of us had a hamburger or cheeseburger. The burgers were overcooked, very thin, and simply lacked flavor. The toppings were extremely generous... More

The sandwiches were yummy & bountiful, generous enough for a midnight snack ... Make reservations in advance, very popular, kid friendly too.

We went to see a show in Stratford at the Festival Theatre with a bus group. My sister in law, her friend and myself only had a limited time for lunch and walked down Downie Street as we were told to visit this place. I ordered a wrap and Ice tea - (no fries, no salad) and with tip this... More

Pricier than fast food, but SO worth it. Delicious! Slightly more upscale environment, too. Short walk from there to the Avon Theatre, if you are taking in a play.

I had dinner here when I was visiting Stratford over the weekend. I ordered a Chicken Wrap. It cost $10.00 and did not include fries or a salad. Fries were an extra $2.50 and a salad was $3.99. Which when you add everything up is pretty expensive. The service was fine. When the wrap came it was soggy. They had... More

We recently ordered take out for 3 people. The caesar salad was drenched in dressing making it inedible, good fries and onion rings. The burger toppings were good as was the bun, but what happened to the meat? They used to have great meat ,now its like a supermarket frozen patty with upscale toppings, definitely not doing that again.most of our... More

My wife were strolling down the street and saw the sign for their burger special, a Brie, red pepper chutney and apple slices. At first the price scared me but we headed back to try it. It was great. Next time in Stratford we are coming back here. We had great service too.

I love the dry spice burger, and overall this is a great spot. It could use some much needed improvements. For example, the cushioning in my chair was totally flat making it uncomfortable. Dust on the decorations etc. A little polish and I'd give it a 4.5-5, as it stands it's a solid 4.

Very impressed with the burgers, service and atmosphere; not a typical burger joint. We arrived in Stratford starving at 5pm on a Sunday to find not a lot open, so glad to found Downie! Upscale decor but reasonably priced food. Subtle touches made a superior burgers. Will visit again.
