Swing and a miss.

Twice in a row, short-staffed beyond reason. Friday night, full seating and one server. Barkeep jumps in where he can, but ridiculous situation to be in. Should have waited until I was partway through the apps before I ordered entrees, but figured I'd save the server a few steps while she was... read more

Should have waited until I was partway through the apps before I ordered entrees, but figured I'd save the server a few steps while she was busy. Pretty well everything came out at the... More

We arrived for a late dinner, 6 adults. We shared 3 appetizers which were all very good. The goat cheese dish was extremely delicious. We then had a rather long wait for the main but we weren't in a rush and were enjoying visiting. The noise volume was conducive for that which is also good. When the meal arrived the... More

We stopped in for an early dinner on a Saturday night. I had the Pow Wow burger, he had the 3 Little Pigs pasta dish. Both entrees were very good, lots of flavour. The burger was perfectly cooked. Service was attentive and efficient.

Stayed with apps, but next time will hit the entrees. Yes, next time. Definitely worth the trouble we went through to get there. Two other places that didn't get it done, so wandered down St Paul to see what was on. I don't do live music, so a few spots missed out, but Pow Wow was reasonably busy, so in... More

Went on a date to this restaurant this weekend and had an amazing time. The place is pretty cool looking (it has a piano behind the bar for the beer taps!). The atmosphere is pretty romantic with the dimly lit lights and the nice music. I had the lamb burger and it was cooked perfectly with yummy sweet potato fries... More

We dined at pow wow last weekend. What once was a great restaurant is no more. The menus placed on the table were dirty, crumpled sheets of paper. Server continually screwed up drink orders. Could not remember beer or wine lists and no drink menus were available. Several mixed drinks were lacking the alcohol. Apps were the best part of... More

This was a nice place to have lunch. The food was good and good value for the money spent. I liked sitting in the booth as we could share in quiet conversation. I would go here again and recommend it to others.

If you're looking for a nice place to eat on St. Paul try this one. The first time I went there and ordered the open faced salmon sandwich I was famished thus disappointed with the size of it and then I ordered the Pow Wow burger and had realized that I was full from the salmon sandwich but I still... While my wife and I do not frequent a lot of restaurants, The Pow-Wow in St Catharines is one we have frequented for the last almost 20 years. Over the last 2 years there has been a steady erosion of standards which has become even more pronounced in the last 9 months or so. The big draw at the establishment... More
